Early State Final and Darkhorse predictions

AAA is the same way as the A/AA Two powers may meet early, Farragut and McMinn will Play each other in the first round if each win their Region. Too bad for McMinn if that happens, they better hope Farragut gets upset in the Regional finals or they do, otherwise it's early home for one and my bet is still on Farragut to win it all. I know some of the McMinn boys will jump on this but , NOBODY, gives you a shot against Farragut, and if you really think about it, you don't. Not trying to agitate just cover the bases. I love LC off the field , on the field he can be a pain, that is just his style, But I don't give Lenoir City a chance against CAK later in the playoffs either. And while we are there Catholic will take Mccallie Tommorrow

Actually if Farragut and Mcminn both win there regions they wont play each other till the state finals. Farragut lost to Bearden last year in the regions, and Mcminn won theirs, thats why they were seeded together in the first round.

Actually... the bracket is not exactly the same each year, and in AAA the winner of Region 2(probably Farragut) will be paired with the winner of Region 3 (probably McMinn) in the quarterfinals. Go to http://www.tssaa.org/2003Champions/StateBS...tateBracket.htm to check me on this.

    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
    • Heard Seq has gotten a lot stronger this off season. Can’t wait to see how the boys do this year
