Joey Smith and Leroy Thompson from Austin East in the late 80's both played in the NFL. Smith played for Louisville and then the St. Louis Cardinals. Thompson played for Penn State and later the Steelers and Patriots. Joe Fishback also got a couple of rings with the Dallas Cowboys off that team from AE.......

Watch out for Austin East Duo Albert Harris and Maurice Davis.  Two Speedsters with moves and power.

Hey Boorelly, you guys better watch out in week 2 for Jam Fine and Tyrone Cobb... They will be a great tandem this year, alot of speed and alot of power... Harris and Maurice Davis is a great tandem, they might be the fastest tandem in the state, but remember watch out for DEM FALCONS...

Holla at cha boy...

'93 Cleveland Team ---> they had speed at every position and could score at will.

'84 Maryville ---> Troy Hodge / Allan Fine combination was phenomenal and received zero notice (except for Fine's 2 fumbles that cost us the playoff game at Jasper Co) ---> ok, sue me, it was a homer vote. ;) IMO, this Maryville Tandem was better than any of the newer ones because only one O-Linesman was D1 caliber

'86 AE ---> Joey Smith and Leroy Thompson; once Leroy quit telegraphing where he was going, he was unstoppable. Again, the O-Line had no 'stars'.

Hey GradfromtheNest, what ever happened to Blake Foster the great RB you guys had a couple of years ago?I know he was up for Mr Football, but never saw him commit a college.I can`t belive that no college was interested in him.

Well JC, in order for colleges to recruit a player, that player must graduate! Several schools did look at Blake Foster...until they realized he dropped out of high school after football season.
