I really don't believe any of these times except for Coker's....I know that the times put on here for him are legit except for the 100 meter track time.... the reason that is obvious....The 100 meter dash in the Olympics was won in a time of 10.84 the fastest in prelims was a 10.94 i believe....If he is running a 10.93 he should be in Athens, Greece right now.

i have to agree w/ imaowl, the forty is over rated--if you haven't noticed a football field is 100 yards long. therefore my vote goes to Phillip "BOO" Weathers of the Huntingdon Mustangs. His speed is pretty constant all the way down the field, where as most kids peter out after forty he still can pull a burst from somewhere out of his back pocket!

You guys are killing me with these 4.3's and 4.4's and especially that 3.9.... Get a clue, no one in high school runs that fast. Deion Sanders was the faster pro athlete in the NFL and he only ran a 4.3. Tell me how all these highschoolers are running a tenth of  a second slower? 40 times are so overrated in high school. 90% of them are not legit!!!!

Hey buddy just to let you know.. they are legit. players are getting faster and faster each year. but like anyone might say. 40 times dont meen anything when it comes to playing in a game.

Steven McBride #1 of McMinn County is the fastest guy I've seen so far this year with pads. There is a huge difference in how fast a guy is in pads and not in pads. It doesn't seem to have much of an effect on McBride though. Another speedster that seemed to be very fast was Dewayne Caldwell #20 of Ooltewah.

Yea 10.84 is not olympic caliber. Steven McBride is definetly one of the fastest in the state.

    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
    • I heard Alabama was at Antioch practice and Colorado has offered QB. Hoping the Bears have a great year.
