In another thread you said that David Sharp was benching around 350. You change his maxes in every thread. In the next thread he'll be benching 500 squating 700 cleaning 450. I think you need to get your stats right before you post these b.s. maxes

I can verify that he is benching 405 right now max. He also runs a 4.4 40....now as far as all his other weights I am not sure but I would venture to say that they are probrobly on up there. This guy is a true athelete in all senses of football...playing and weightlifting. I fyou don't believe me that is fine....just make a trip down to Lewis Co. sometime next season.

This guy at this school I know, he benches 543 and runs a 4.325674 forty. I watched. I have the video too. I also got him to autograph the socks he was wearing when he did it. They'll be on e-Bay.

Let me also call B.S. on most every post on this thread. Especially the kid from Lewis Co. Michael Vick doesn't have those kinds of numbers.

hey...like I stated earlier.....it is true. I don't care really if you believe it or not. I have seen it with my own eyes and so has everyone else. This kid has been weightlifting since he was prob. in the 6th grade. Tremendous athlete in all sports. If you wanna see it to believe it come on down. We would be glad to show you. Speaking of Michael Vick? He doesn't put up those #'s either for whoever you are talking about. I would HAVE to see it to believe that. Sounds like a living steroid.

I have stated in the past that bench is overrated for football, and I stick by that. However, since you guys are so hung up on it I will settle this argument for you. Josh Ward, sophomore at Sevier County set the world record for bench press at the Arnold Schwarzenneger Classic in Columbus. He put up 512 pounds. He apparently put up more than anyone in the competition under 19 years of age. There's your winner. Now you have something to shoot for.

Well, pastpioneer, as much as I agree with you on the flat bench not being as important, its unfortunate that in a way, its quite important. When going to camps and combines, kids will be required to do tests. For some reason, none of those tests are platform lifts or squats. Its almost always a bench test for reps. So for serious recruits it becomes essential for their recruitment. A word of advice to seniors heading off to camps this summer, the only D1 school to show substantial interest in me, only did so because I ran a solid 40 and could rep out (225) a max 50 pounds above my true one rep max. So practice those tests, cause it can help you.

    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
    • I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
