I can’t see Gordonsville being much of a threat to the top dogs in the east. We looked better than I expected us to look in the spring but we have some major issues on the O line and D line -

What kind of mess is this? Even in a down year the Pirates should roll through the East. There were younguns that could start on a lot of 1A teams that didn't get to play much last season. Those kids have that fever to continue the ride the Pirates are on. 1A in the east especially is weak and that does not bode well for SP opponents. I believe they get back to the title game again and just may win another one. We always hear about how tough the west is all season and then they run into the Pirates and they aren't as tough as people thought. I'll take SP and give the rest of 1A in a bet. -

SP got two LV players? They must not be very good. They just went 0-10 again. -

Only teams I can imagine threatening the pirates are Gordonsville or Coalfield. Jo Byrns looks to be improving though, fielded a solid middle school team last year.
