'scanner,

Glad to hear 16's feeling better. What a valuable asset to the team. He had a nice game last week. Not to take anything away from him, but thinking about the future - what do you know about Ramos?

Excited about tomorrow night, the latest forcast I've heard is rain tonight, into tomorrow, stopping late afternoon. Yuck.

Greeneville fans, travel safe.

Thick and thin.

GO TROJANS !!

hey dip-

don't know about ramos--get diddleysquat info from my son--but does that surprise any parent?--

do know that I would be glad to work with ramos some if he ever wanted the help--(not that I'm a great kicking coach-16 has had help from several knowledgeable people over the last several years--I'm just a lot cheaper (free!))--

Ha ha - he is kinda quiet now that you mention that. The reason I was wondering is that #16 will be sorely missed next year. Hard to replace a talent like that. I'm hoping someone can step up - does #19 kick at all?

Good luck tomorrow night at halftime. Might want to wear some galoshes having to cross that wet field.

I understand the seniors thing is before the start of the game this year--

I believe 19 can, just not sure he wants to--

16 can punt (he hit a 63 yarder as a freshman) but wanted to just kick--

there are probably a multitude of players that could kick or punt if 1) they wanted to 2) they had some semblance of an aptitude for it 3) they learned technique from someone who taught it or used it 4) they practiced 5) and they practiced 6) and they practiced--

I read recently that d colquitt at ut practices 50 to 70 punts (maybe more) a day and sometimes the reps get up to 100--I believe I'm more impressed with his dedication to his craft than what he does with it on saturdays--

Colquitt is an artist of the craft - had the pleasure of watching him in a practice in August. He looked like a machine with his technique - same motion each time. I guess with his family genes it would stand to reason.

I didn't realize the ceremony would start before the game instead of halftime - the minister of finance and recreation is on top of it I'm sure.

Anyone talking to #16 about his future?

That particular game was the subject of quite a bit of contraversy that perhaps had emotions running a bit high. Greeneville is still a little sore about moving that game to Sevierville and changing the date and time. Water under the bridge...

This is a huge rivalry but I would not call it hatred. In Greeneville we reserve our hatred for Science Hill during basketball season.

Greenville and Mortown West do hate each other. This game will bring out the best and worst in the players and fans. I think this game will be close.

I don't agree with Barb that RebRon was trying to make it sound as if Greenville was a bunch of thugs but, I expect the game to be a tough one with lots of yards on infractions!

I do agree with Barb that moving a game brings bad feelings. A game should never be moved unless the field is ruled unsafe by a neutral official. And if it is moved it should be moved to the visitor’s school. My opinion.

I think Greenville beats West by 10.

Greeneville, after a 14-14 tie at the half, runs off 20 unanswered points to defeat Morristown West 34-14. Big win for the greene devils to keep them undefeated in the conference. The only team in their way is the mighty Hurricanes of Morristown East. Enjoy this big win guys and come home to Burley Stadium and claim the District Championship by defeating East.

P.S. Evidently Washington is a surprise hurler from the backfield. Wouldn't Steve Spurrier or Ron Zook be proud.
