MBA/ Father Ryan definitely have the biggest rivalry. I dont care how bad Ryan has been in the past few years, both teams get up for this one and it is a heated rivalry.

Thank you captain obvious. Isn't every football game two teams looking for a win? Or any type of sporting event for that matter. Plus yeah it is a rivalry because it's two teams that hate each other, meet every year same region or not, and it's probably one of the oldest rivalry's in TN. Good job.

BA-MBA is clearly the most intense rivalry in the state, they often meet twice a year, once at the end of the regular season, and in the playoffs, last year's regular season game was one of the most memorable in TN high school history.In terms of quality of teams and intensity in the games, BA-MBA is in a class of it's own.

Up until TSSAA started talking about moving Camden across the river I could see Camden and Huntingdon becoming big rivals...they are already to an extent just because of proximity...but now with Camden's improvement and Huntingdon's status as the team in the west to beat...it could be a big one...similar to Milan& Huntingdon...but we'll have to see what the TSSAA has up its sleeve...it could be good for both clubs...big gate money.

Oldest rivalry in the state was played 2 weeks ago its has been played for 80 years.

South Pittsburg and Marion County.

 

In those 80 years there is only a 2 game seperation between wins.

The warriors got lucky winning against the Pirates this year. But you know it won't be that easy is the years to come.

it goes back to when cookeville was putnam county high.

People have grandparents who go back to this rivalry. its old school

I think Camden and Waverly hate each other. Most of the time, there is a fight. I remember a few in my playing days.

some of the big rivalries here in region 1 are:

 

Greeneville vs. Dobyns- Bennett(only play on certain years)

Greeneville vs. Morristown West

Morristown West vs. Morristown East

Elizabethton vs. Greeneville

 

and this is just to name a few
