i thought i would give some publicity to the perry co jv squad on a terrific jv season.

they finished out the season with a record of 6-1.

they scored an avg of 30 points a game and only gave up avg of 6 points a game.

they defeated 2 schools in AA. and a couple in region 6 which they will probably play in the coming years. including waynesboro and collinwood.

these guys, like most 1a schools, get the job of scout team all week and get little credit or recognition, so monday nights are a big time event.

they do a great job giving the varsity a look every week and are a big part of the varsitys success, but little playing time on friday.

great job guys! keep it up.

pchs is in good hands for the next few years.

congradulations to all the other young guys out there playing on monday nights.

phil 4:13 i can do all things through CHRIST which strengthens me.

Way to go PC Football. Being from PC but Living in Greenbrier I happy to see that FB is FINALLY catching on and being sucessful. I always knew that PC had the atheletes to compete in FB if you could get them away from the B-ball court. Guys, get in the weight room, year round, that's the only way to be a success on the FB field. My boys play at Greenbrier and they hit the weight room like demons. Greenbrier has either a 1st or 2nd place finisher in all the county and region lift offs. See where that has them #2 in the state for 3A. I've been down to see the junior pros play and you've got some good talent and experience coming from that that will carry on with the success.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
