I dont even know if Nunley would start at Riverdale. He might not even start at Smyrna or Lebanon for that matter. Every game Nunley has played against a good team he has been shut down. Just like he did against Lincoln Co. last year and Smyrna in the playoffs. Region 3 is very weak with the exception of Cookville. Region 4 is not good either but there are one or two teams that didn't make the playoffs in region 4 that would have made it if they played in region 3.

oooo....surely you are not that stupid. ANY coach would be proud to have Jake in their uniform. It's amazing how jealousy will make you say stupid things. Remember you are saying this about a young man who has had 2- two thousand yard seasons. Of course, you may be kin to wingman & that would explain your foolish mutterings.

i dont remember seeing in any part of ooooo post where he said that nunley couldnt play for teams in region 4, just couldnt start for them. that being said, i know i would love to have nunley play for oakland, but thats a moot point. nunley has no doubt had a great high school career. good enough to be mr.football? we shall see

Some of you people should be ashamed of yourselves. Taking an award like this and simply arguing for your own personal satisfaction and to "hear"yourselves talk. These players have been successful for four years and are now being awarded for that. Lets let the voters decide and move on to talking about football.

Good look and congratulations to any and all players who have been nominated.

    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
    • Heard Seq has gotten a lot stronger this off season. Can’t wait to see how the boys do this year
