Another thing to consider is that parents do move kids to go to better academic schools all the time. It happens at Maryville, and I'm sure it probably happens at other strong academic schools like Oak Ridge, and D-B. These schools also have good football teams year in and year out. I would bet that 100% of Maryville's transfer students moved for education, not the chance to play (or warm the bench as talent dictates) for a winning team.

Wanna see the best recruits? Come watch a game between either teams such as : MBA,BA,MUS,McCallie,Baylor, or Christian Brothers. But dont expect to see any recruits at Father Ryan game, cause the only recruits there are people that signed up for the military! Father Ryan has a saying,"Let us try to get Catholics before recruits"

I know a football player that moved in 2003 season in order to play for a better program. In fact, his parents had to file legal separation papers and only one parent filed the change of address to their apartment. The other lived at the old address. After he graduated, they had the paperwork changed and now everyone is back at the original home. You can get around almost any obstacle.

Have seen things like that happen before. Even seen an apartment rented for a familly to move to in a certian school zone.

Yes FRHS Wrestling, if Father Ryan doesn't start recruiting (aka "Financial Aid") soon, they will fall even farther behind, if that is possible. With a new principal, and if the rumors are true, a new AD, building a stronger program could be in the near future. .....well.. Nobody would be in this mess if it wasn't for Carlton Flatt...

Hey father ryan wrestling I sure wish you would choose a different thread to vent your anti Big seven recruiting accusations on. I was really enjoying the previous 25 or so posts where the public fans (Maryville-Riverdale-Powell-Central)ect... were ripping each other for all the rercuiting they usually acuse anyone in the private side for. Let's give them their space. We don't get this refreshing opportunity very often!!

After the 1st a school doesn't meet certain standards then the students have the oppertunity to change schools with out moving (as long as that school is not a "High Priority" school like the one they are leaving). Oakland is a high priority school and Riverdale is not!! Better hang on to Precious

dont worry we will. in 3 years, you will wondering why rankin didnt try to pull out all the stops to get this kid, he is a patriot through and through. the changing of the guard is coming soon in the boro, maybe not next season, but its coming very soon. the only reason is a high priority school on NCLB is because we inherited riverdale's kids! fortunately, most of them will be going to siegel next year. with tim tackett at the helm, oakland high will be just as good as a whole as it was under nolan

since precious is extremely loyal to coach forrest, you can keep on dreaming. youree's folks are both ohs grads so go ahead and try to recruit him, because the second ya do rankin will get nailed. go ahead and dream about precious in a riverdale uniform, because thats as close as your gonna get, dreaming

Only time will tell, Coach Forest is going to keep pushing these kids to Oakland but why would a potential great player go there unless family tradition. The basketball program draws more football players away from Riverdale than Oaklands F-ball team
