Ooltewah's sites are pretty nice. DB, Maryville, Oak Ridge, Central should all have great sites. Time is the biggest factor I think, but if they made it part of the computer center's curriculum at each school, then time becomes less of a problem. Maybe elect a website counsel or have a council appointed every year or two.

They don't cost a whole lot to run and that could even be donated by boosters ot local companies for advertising rights. I think most schools just don't put enough stock in a websites importance. That's a shame. The whole community would probably benefit from such a site. An easy spot to find good timely info....it's almost a must in this day and age.

Oak Ridge has just got a site started this year. It has taken awhile for them to get info on it. There is still no roster and I guess there never will be this year. Next year it will be better because this year they had to get the website started and everything. The website is www.oakridgefootball.net. Give the site some time and next year it will be much better.

With supposedly every school in Tn having internet access, why doesn't every school have a site for their sports teams?

For instance after hearing so much about Kingsport-DB I wanted to see what all I was hearing was about, but no site to get the info from on the school.

I personally think that EVERY school should have access and be proud of what they are doing and to show it off.

I totally agree. I mean look at the Sullivan East website if you can find it.

I've been searching the net for these High School web sites for about 2 yrs. I just like checking out the teams and facilities etc. I've seen them all across the Nation, and Ooltewah has one of the best I've seen. Who ever put that together deserves a pay increase. thumb  thumb
