Its a tough thing to accept, didn't think it would be this hard in two-a-days? Wait until you see your rebels run out without you, it will be pretty wierd

ftballkicker, If I were you, I wouldn't turn in your helmet.  I kept mine after my senior year (I don't think I was supposed to though).  A helmet in my opinion is just as important as getting to keep your jersies after you've graduated.

So you work security, and you are a thief??

Just kidding, I still have my game jersey from 1978.

without a doubt i think Dave Thomas is the best football player in the state..He does everything..I had never seen them play before and what that guy does for his team is amazing..One play that i thought was pretty cool... He handed the ball off to Gaston and then he sprinted out infront of him to help block...what a player

Some posters on here think that makes him a dirty player, but Riverdale's last two QBs did that. Hard nosed football.

I guess I was a thief at the time.  But I'm glad I didn't let Alsup have my helmet because he wouldn't let us seniors (class of '03) keep our home jersies, and those were the ones everyone wanted.  I finally got mine 2 years later, but I had to pay $40 for it.

My game jersey has shrunk over the years. I can barely get in on WITHOUT shoulder pads.

I doubt we will get the oppurtunity to keep any of our jersies. OUr away ones are almost brand new, well mine being a kickers jersey is practicall new, and our new home jersies are being sent back to nike for new ones cuz they seaid the marroon wouldnt blend with teh silver and they did so they are replacing all of them coach sends back so he said nope on keeping those

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
