Best Sophomores

I think McMinn has some very good sophmores.

Niala Harris(started some last year), Shonda Smith(Jajuan's little sis, had 7 3's vs McMinn Central), Leah Frazier, Amy Jo Castor(good shooter), Dareka Mooney(good defender and shooter), and Chelsea Davis.

I have yet to see a better sophmore in the state than Angela Puleo. In fact, I think East Tennessee has the 2 best sophs in the state with Puleo and Powell's Hollifield. Ann Marie Lenning is right up there as well.

Smith, Harris, Frazier and Mooney all played at Riceville.

I got 2 of the best sophmores for oakland Tara Davis and Kierra McCleary. They started last and are still playin like champs now.

Are we talking about EAST TN or all of Tennessee? Just wanting to clarify because Sparta is a LITTLE bit of a drive from East TN.  Just checking so that i can respond accordingly. THANKS

Ill agree that those McMinn girls are pretty good. McMinn girls will dominate in 2 years.. But whats up with Leah Frazier never shootin the 3..cuz she gets the opportunity a lot..but never takes it..

Definantly Brooke Mckinnon of Tellico Plains. She can take it down the court and hit a 15 footer like it is nothing. She is also an excellent defenisive player. By her senior year, she will be the best player ever from our school.

I agree with the McMinn girls. They are a great group of girls, on the court and off. McKinnon and K. Simpson of Tellico and Cleveland are excellent also.

 

Mindi Rayburn and Cami McCaslin are also very strong from McMinn Central. I expect strong teams next year from both McMinn and Central.
