Here are my top 8 teams to play in AA...

 

1. Harpeth

2. Obion

3. Upperman

4. Westview

5. Smith Co

6. Hume-Fogg

7. Loretto

8. Cheatham Co.

 

I am sure there are lots of disagreements... Let's Hear'em!!

Yes I think it is way to early. Remember December does not = February. That looks good for right now though

Oliver Springs @ 10-1 is certainly a top 8 team.

 

The state semifinalists from a year ago are loaded with new additions and young talent from a phenomenal middle school porgram.

 

Their middle school program was undefeated 3 years ago, lost one game last season, and is 11-0 this year and hasn't even been close to being contested.

 

With OS being to the state 2 of the last 3 years, the Lady Cats are truly building something very special.

If I'm not mistaken Oliver Springs had a strong recruiting class this year too...New aditions is an understatement...Tell us all where these new aditions came from...They should continue to be strong if they manage to pull some talent away from Oak Ridgeeach year...

 

 

It would be neat to see what coaches could do if they just coached the hands they were dealt instead of dipping into surrounding programs.

 

Anyway if you don't get caught it's not considered cheating. Right....

Oak Ridge is the last program that needs to lecture on transfering players!

 

Oliver Springs in the last twent years has lost numerous players to the Oak Ridge Program in all SPORTS. Many of those players were some of Oak Ridge's best athletes ever ( without naming names).

 

What goes around comes around and if that old addage is accurate, Oliver Springs is still well short in this game.

 

Additionally, Oliver Springs is ranked 4th in the Knoxville News Sentinel's area ranking. last time I looked at Oak Ridge's ranking it was not even in the top 10.

 

Oak Ridge Fans don't need to cry foul ball as OS is not the only progam that has been hurt in the past by defections from their communities to Oak Ridge.

Witht he amazing young talent coming through at OS and with additions, OS is building something VERY VERY special. Coach Todd Wright has the ship headed in a very good direction and will build on the last four years.

I really hate to tell you this, but Cheatham Co. beat Hume-Fogg 64-56. I'm sorry but I don't think Hume-Fogg is better than them. When Cheatham plays their game, they are good!

Cheatham Co along with Oliver Springs has to be the favorites to win AA this year. One team isnt even listed and the other is 8th. Harpeth is a good team and I understand they absolutely handed Cheatham Co thier butts the other night but how does that make them #1. Cheatham is obiviously a better team than how they played vs Harpeth...Recheck those rankings.

harpeth is the best team i 've seen this year. they would beat os easily. hpwever, isn't harpeth private. os has a great middle school program and will be tough to beat for years.
