85warrior
If I'm not mistaken Oliver Springs had a strong recruiting class this year too...New aditions is an understatement...Tell us all where these new aditions came from...They should continue to be strong if they manage to pull some talent away from Oak Ridgeeach year...It would be neat to see what coaches could do if they just coached the hands they were dealt instead of dipping into surrounding programs. Anyway if you don't get caught it's not considered cheating. Right.... 825485636 Just how many new players{tranfers} does OS have? ksgovols
harpeth is the best team i 've seen this year. they would beat os easily. hpwever, isn't harpeth private. os has a great middle school program and will be tough to beat for years. 825487108 It's easy to see where you'd think that Harpeth is a private school with the new football regions that came out last month.......... We are just west of Nashville and south of our bitter rival Cheatham co. Cheatham could not be named better and is the king of "legal recruiting". However boat slips for houses, AAU connections, and naming sisters as legal guardians are normal behavior for "CHEAT-UM CARR" When you are up by 26 in the 3RD and playing 10 deep you are not someone who still needs to prove squat. Cheatham needs to prove that they are not the most over rated team this year.

gark242
I get tired of people always accusing successful programs of recruiting. It is possible for a middle to supply enough talent to lead a high school program to a lot of victories over the course of a few years. That success is easily enough to draw people who want to be sucessful and play for a winning team. That's all that's going on at OS right now. Coach Wright has had some great teams the past few years with no transfers and now people want to start being part of that winning tradition and have a chance to go play college ball somewhere. It's not that uncommon for this to happen. Look at what programs such as Shelbyville, Jackson Co., and Livingston Academy. These coaches are involved in great AAU programs and the girls want to play for them in high school too. It's rediculous to always start screaming "Recruiting" once things are going good. It's my belief that talent comes in cycles and there will be down years. If there are no down years, then I'd start having some doubts. Anybody who knows anything about Oliver Springs will tell you that girls program had a lot of bad years before things started getting better. OS91
Qark I suggest you do a little research into the Oliver Springs's program before you state it was horrible before Coach Wright. OS from 1997-99 had some of their worst teams which a couple of them were close to being .500 ( if you call that horrible) with one season of four wins. Before that, OS has traditionally been one of the stronger AA programs in East Tennessee with State tounrey appearances ( State Runner up in 82) and Sub State Games in 89 and 90. and many region tournies. While OS has been very successful, OS has always had a very strong middle school program very talented players come through the high school. To state OS Gilrs program was horrible prior to four years ago is Inaccurate in a major way.
