Cookeville is another baseball dynasty. It seems that they consistently are in the hunt in baseball and basketball. And actually their football program has turned around to powerhouse status as well.

wouldnt exactly call a cookeville a baseball powerhouse yet, 1 good year doesnt mean you are as such. Oakland and Riverdale are still the big 2, in this district, but siegrl and cookeville arent too far behind.

Actually I wasn't just referring to last year.  You should check into their feeder program. They are coming on strong and establishing a solid program from top to bottom.

yea they havent had the best of luck with coaches. Last years seniors had four coaches in four years. But I think that Coach Chaffin is hear to stay and will make a major impact on the program.

That is certainly great news. I do not personally know Coach Chaffin, but hear that he is a popular choice with players and  and Administrators. Hopefully the parents will also lend him support.

Wes Griggs, Grayson Grimes, Craig Collins, Wade Bilbery, David Williams, and Seth Phifer are the only ones that I know of it.

Probably Griggs he was the #2 last year. he is a southpaw.

Dyer, Griggs, Bilbrey, Phifer are all seniors pitchers and throw well. Grimes is a junior pitcher and has the size and speed to to give some great innings.

The Cavs have a senior catcher and two seniors in the infield and outfield. They are an experienced team with a lot of speed and good bats.

They will miss Alcorn and Maddux both playing college- but they have a great coach and should be in the hunt.

I heard Dyer was going to play 3rd this season, pitching some times. Brady Adams will also be missed.
