redthunder6
why do people keep talking about how good cookevilles sophmores are. thats not a good reason to have them as favorites. if they had a strong junior or senior class i could understand, i'd give their sophmores another year 825577030 Well their sophmore class is loaded with talent. Many of those sophs contributed in varsity games as freshman.
pioneer09
I do not know their last names but Paul, a sophmore keeper, and Will, also a sophmore at center mid are outstanding players and will probably both be starting on the varsity team in Cookeville this year Edited February 21, 2005 by pioneer09
Anderson6395
Yes they have a real good sophmore class. And junior Blake Walker is an impressive player with a strong leg. 825576602 Shelbyville girls won their district and finished second in the region with a strong Freshman class. redthunder6
Sorry picked the wrong quote to respond to this is the one I intended. 825577625 Paul Gilbert and Will Putman are the people I think you are talking about. Putman has a good chance to start and Gilbert is behind a senior keeper who started last season. He will probably get some quality minutes though. cavs17
How I think districts will shape out: 1. Cookeville 2. Siegel 3. Blackman 4. Riverdale 5. Warren County 6. Lebanon 7. Oakland 8. White County

Oakland 8. White County 825577720 Has Oakland just lost everybody? I know they weren't very good last year, and everyone seems to be picking them towards the bottom again this year. Just three or four years ago, when I was an underclassman, they were the team to beat year in and out. Is it due to the loss of Coach Hardin or are a lot of the guys going to Siegel now? I was just wondering. Also, I hope my ol' pioneers can compete this year. They will be young and I think that 5 spot is legit for now. By the way, if your predictions stand up, or if this C'ville soph. class is good, and they don't get it this year, but let's say the next two, then how about my old coach Hardee? Talk about running it in the district.
captainmorgan
anyone that honestly thinks cookeville is anything great is kidding themselves. last year they were terrible, blackman lost alot but will still own everyone in the district. cookeville has always been one of the most overrated teams in the state, whenever they used to make it to state they would just get drilled in the first round. pioneer09
What in the world are you talking about? Several years ago Cookeville came in #3 in the state and beat blackman 5-0 in the district. Cookeville came in third in the regular season last year in the district. As far as blackman owning everyone last year, they beat cookeville by one goal both times. In both games there were penalty kicks, in the game it was very questionable..Blackman also lost several of their best players from last year so that is why everyone thinks Cookeville should do well. YOu don't have to knoock Cookeville.. THis is just speculation no real games have been played. Maybe think before you speak next time. 825581942 Several years ago is not now though. Oh and about Blackman losing lots, shouldnt matter much. Coach Vice is a great coach and will do whatever it takes to win with what hes got. A team does not have to have great players to be a great team. It takes everyone on the field working as one to be a great team.
