The refs always have it in for anyone that plays Brainerd especially at Brainerd.  Just one of the side benefits of 29 successful years coaching here in town.  Nothing that happened in this game could have been as bad as the foul called in the second Ooltewah/Brainerd game with 1.4 seconds left in a mad scramble on the floor that basically handed Brainerd the game.  I think the correct 2 teams are playing in the final.  They are very evenly matched, when Brainerd had Sanders.  Looking for an Owl route, they have something to prove.  Soddy-Daisy had a good year, 18-13 record is very deceiving since it was not the toughest schedule I have seen lots of beating up on A and AA schools, whereas Ooltewah Finished Season with Brainerd, Temple, Cleveland, and Rhea.  Definitely gets you into the tournament mode.  Had Soddy-Daisy played the same schedule they have played in years past (Brainerd, Cleveland, Bradley, Howard, Cumberland, Ooltewah, Red Bank, Central, Rhea, CCS all twice)  I am sure they would not have been much better than the record of last year.

I notice Shumate quoting in the Chattanoogan that SD was used to one and out in the District tourney, when in fact last year was the first time in 5 years they were one and out, actually had 2 championships and 2 runner ups before that. hmmm..  Perhaps he should beat Brainerd, Bradley, Howard, Ooltewah, Cleveland, Baylor or some of the other schools they have beaten in the last 5 years before he starts running down the past coach in the papers.

Hmmm, of the teams listed, SD beat Cumberland once; Red Bank twice; Central twice; Rhea twice; and Chatt Christian twice. Those teams alone = 9 victories vs last year's 4. SD did not play Cleveland, Bradley or Howard. Since Hixson beat Howard and SD beat Hixson two of two, it stands to reason that SD may "have a chance" against Howard. They got ripped off in the overtime game vs. Brainerd Tuesday night, even with Darden and Crawford sidelined.

All my predictions are falling right into place. Ooltewah played well tonight as they usually do against Brainerd, but this time they won it, what a game it was too. I also think that for the regional cleveland and Bradley are going to lose early I think, just a thought but 5-AAA is not going to be as dominate as in the past. Just a thought.

Bradley and Cleveland will both win their first round games. District 5-AAA owns District 6-AAA

mnewballer, you must be a ref or something and failed your vision test. Do you see me listing Ooltewah in my reply about SD wins? You had better enjoy it while you can. All Shumate needs is some time. He has brought the Trojans a long way and is building a winning attitude more than anything. I admit, Ooltewah is very talented and well coached. I like pulling for other Hamilton County schools as long as the fans can be respectful and deal with success without being smart alecs.

;) mnewballer is riding the wave, just someone else's. He probably couldn't dribble a basketball, but has ok typing skills, so he makes a good CoachT jock. Some people don't know how to handle success, but good job anyway to the players. I thought Brainerd and RB would win last night, but the Owls and Trojans played to win and deserve their credit due. mnewballer, don't be a bad reflection on your school's success last night. The season is far from over.

Hah, since he started varsity at Ooltewah last year (on a team that was perhaps better than this year's) I think he could dribble a ball pretty well and knows what he's talking about.

    • Upperman White County both will be loaded. Dyersbirg and South Side will be a handful as well. Getting about that time in about 3 weeks we start watching summer scrimmages. Dyersburg loaded loaded loaded with talent. Most talent ever I have seen in their program.
    • We, SP, blanked them 10-0 in sectional game during 21 season.
    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
