GCHS05
I saw Oak Hill play last night on ESPN. Those guys are really good, but they aren't dominant over Tyler. I bet that if Tyler lived in a bigger city(or maybe a different state) he would be a for sure pick. PS- Jamont impressed me. Opened the game up with a strong dunk. It's a shame he and Tyler were snubbed.
cobrafan90
If Corey Brewer made it from little bitty Portland, TN I can't see how Tyler didn't make it. Tyler has put up impressive numbers. He held his own at the adidas camp, I don't know what the criteria is...........Tyler should've been on the team. To much politics involved. As far as Monta Ellis playing in the west. The east vs. west is just a title, they should rename it because that doesn't determine how players are designated to teams..........so don't get bent out of shape on that one. Galilee
Brandon Wright and Thaddeus Young will make it next year. Also the Nlke Hoops Summit is coming to Memphis next year and they both could play in that also.
GCfan79
Honestly, the only reason that Ellis is not on the East team is because everyone wants to see him and Louis Williams go head to head again. Don't get me wrong...this will be fun to watch, but that is the hidden agenda.
btowntigers
What is even more surprising is that Monta Ellis is also playing in the Roundball and the Jordan Classic isn't he? I might have to double check that to be positive. But if this is the case then Monta will be unable to play collegiate level basketball. Three showcase events is a no no. He can't even play in a Miss. all star game now. Like I said I'll double check this, but if he is in all three, he is headed to the league. 825583153 There isnt much of a chance of him goin to college anyway. The guy is averagin around 40 points a game, gauranteed lottery pick if not number 1. I know where i would be headed. Oh yea....he better go this year cause if he dont he'll be in college for 2 years....rumor has it the NBA is makin a rule that you have to be 20 to enter the draft. itzme
Yeah...I did see the rosters on the McDonald's website and there are no TN players. When I watched South Gwinnett and Oak Hill play, the Devendorf kid was getting lit up by everyone on the South Gwinnett team. He did not impress me at all. What is even more ridiculous is that Louis Williams sidekick Mike Mercer was not on the list. The kid is ranked in the Top 20 but he could not make the team because Williams was on it. If I recall, Rondo and Josh Smith were on the McDonalds team last year. Didn't they play for the same team??? Also, why is Monta Ellis playing on the West squad. Last time I checked MS was not in the west. I guess politics figured into this...Williams vs. Ellis rd. 2. 825583026 Laughable. Devendorf is a standout player on that TEAM and will be a great college and pro player as well. You put too much emphasis on dunks in losing efforts. I am a big Tyler Smith fan, and there is a good case to be made that he belongs on that team, but don't go where you did with Devendorf. crossup
TN got the boot this YEAR because of Corey Brewer performance last Year.. he didn't do a Thing ,, The voters simply said not again.. Thats why when your invited to these type of events, you must show the World what you have and where you are from. and you can compete at any Level.. These kids represent their Schools, Towns, Cities, & State, and these opportunties don't come easy... So you really can't blame the Voting Commitee and the AP for the kids they voted for... These people want to be entertained by the Best Players... Flashy dunkers, long range bombers, shot blockers, relentless rebounders, complete package players.. players witht the most HYPE!! (Byron Eaton over-rated) (I watch lil ol' Team from Clarksville (Dream Team) shut him down!!!! Yes I believe Tyler Smith, Anthony Mason Jr, Jamont Gordon & Prince should have represented TN at least one of them... , On the other side of the Coin Mt Juilet Girls rank 3rd in Nation, not one player got any love for the AP, Because they are not flashy they just play the Game the right way! TN been Hood-Winked again!!!!!
moose3542
I want to know how many other times the leading scorer for Oak Hill didn't play in this game? It is really unfortunate, whatever the reason.
GCHS05
I think the of the game differently now. I always thought that it was based on their talent- But if the leading scorer for Oak Hill didn't make it... That's just sketchy right there. shredded cheese
I THINK IT'S A BUNCH OF BULL THAT TYLER DID NOT MAKE THE ALL- AMERICAN TEAM! HE'S BETTER THAN A WHOLE LOT OF PEOPLE ON THE EAST TEAM! 825583202 So you have traveled all over the eastern half of the US and watch all of those guys play all year long. That's pretty impressive in its self.
