Early season prediction...Hendersonville garners state title. They maybe young, but no visible weakness. Keeper strong as beaver's teeth. Defense well tested,

midfield is responsible, respectful and dangerous. Up Top they have speed, skill and they play soccer...not the weekend select crap...serious ODP and region players. Coach knows what he is doing, been there 20+ years. We can talk all day, but at the end of May Hendersonville will still be playing. Will you???

oh well in that case. I think they lost a couple good defenders last year, it hurt them, though it may be miniscule. I think they will be weaker in the back but nothing big. They will still be a big contender. Offense, midfield, and defense is strong. No reason why they wouldnt be

While that could be one of the best pieces of literature I've read in quite some time Can't say that I aggree with a state title prediction. Hendersonville does have great goal tending that can make up for it's defense at times. The offense and midfield will be strong but as far as I can see I don't see were this team improved enough over last year to win a state title. Will they be strong yes, are they good enough to win state, I think they have all the components but as far as I can tell do they have the leadership. Last year HHS had a good team but wasn't able to get the job done. This year there Class of 07' which is agruablly the best in the state will be more expeirienced but I don't believe state title worthy. They will be strong enough to possibly win their region but sectionals and state? My prediction for Hendersonville this year is that they have a great year but they need to be patient, I see 06 and 07 as this teams years to win state, this year they will show at times what they have and at time their youth. Be patient HHS you guys are good ,but best in the state? Now your top 10 material but be patient this team will win state in the next three years but not this year.

thats a pretty bold statement about them winning state. but if what you say is true, then they will certainly be a contender.

    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
    • Gunner Warren was the second starter, freshman. SP #1 arm impressed me last night.
