basketballfan2003
Who wins the third time around? My money is on the Eaglettes. Insell has his team playing well in tournaments and are coming off a big win at White Co. Columbia had to struggle to get by Cookeville. Shelbyville by 8. coachlj65
sometimes a tough game in which things don't go your way and you struggle can pay off the next time out on the court. shelbyville has definitely improved but i still see the lady lions winning. more than likely not as big as before, but a wins a win. flemtone
Columbia is probably the best team but the best team does not always win. The team that wants it the most usually does. Wonder who that will be on Wednesday night? thumb
FieldGoal
Who can ever count Shelbyville out? It's no surprise they're playing well at tournament time. They always do. However, this has been a rebuilding year for the Eaglettes, and the Columbia girls still have the "lions share" of talent. The Lady Lions win by 5. Shelbyville by 8. 825592753[/snapback] Just because Columbia struggled against Cookeville doesn't necessarily mean that they will struggle against Shelbyville. Each team has its own weaknesses. Teams that also barely edge by another team are better in the sense they should not panic as easy. Close games say a lot more about the quality of a team than blowout games. With all that said, I'm saying Columbia takes it
afan1222
Wouldnt shock me to see shelbyville back in the boro!! They have a tough task ahead of them but Insell always pull something out of his hat come postseason time. I take shelbyville by
Coach2001
Columbia is a better team this year. But,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I wouldn't not bet against the Little Man. P.S. Was there a Napolean citing (sp) in the upper cumberland tonight? Hey Showtime, are you going to be around on Wednesday?

banjodr
Obviously both teams will "want" the game. Want or desire to win isn't the issue. Columbia didn't really struggle with Cookeville. Once they took the lead, they never gave it up. Their final scores are naturally going to be closer the deeper in a tournament you get. Cookeville has a great coach and had a great gameplan (which was her only option of keeping it close and she even said that after the game.) The general knows exactly what Columbia has and Coach Moore knows exactly what the Eaglettes have. Put the gloves on and come out punching. It will be closer than the first two. Columbia's defense (didn't allow any points in the 2nd quarter last night) will be the difference. Shelbyville will come out strong. How long they can maintain the surge (they ran out of gas in the 3rd against Lincoln Co last week) will depend on how close it is. It will be a great game and testament to how good both teams are. Columbia wins by 10. Congratulations to Lawrence Co. and Lincoln Co. on great seasons. Go District 8! lakewoodswamprat
Showtime will be back in the Boro....but I think State will be the next time you see him. Who would have every thought that the little man would win 20 games with this group and make it to the semi-finals of the region? Remember...NEVER and I mean NEVER, count him out of anything.
