Grace vs. CCS

Grace by 6. Salter can't win big games unless he is vastly superior talent. (Holwerda and Cook and Trimiew on the same team)

This is going to be a great game. Both teams are playing their best at the right time. The improvement they have made from the first of the year to this point is a credit to their coaches and players, both teams are good enough to be at the Boro, but only one will get a chance. CCS has the height advantage and I don't think the lose of Neilson will hurt them in this game, Grace doesn't pressure the ball all that much and Long can handle what token pressure there will be. Grace has the shooters, and you have to guard them, tightly, or they can kill you. If Grace is on from the perimeter they have the edge, if CCS can contest every shot and make Grace be consistent from the outside with pressure, then not CCS wins.

I think grace has this one, but it will be close. If Grace can keep a lead then they could win big. The twin towers can score 45 again and that is ok because that is almost all there scoring. To bad it is at Sale Creek, we don't get to hear the best announcer in the state. (The guy from Grace).

Grace outplayed CCS for most of the game the first time but CCS did what it took to get the W. If Grace stays with their game plan for 32 minutes, they are a better team than CCS. The Groothuis brothers hurt Grace inside, but they both have to have good games and get easy looks b/c they are not effective offensively away from the basket. If Parshall and Eldridge are hot, it is over. Grace has alot of confidence coming into this one with the way they played at Temple and against LV last night but anything can happen. However good they are, losing a starter hurts and will affect CCS with Neilsen being out. Look for Grace to defend the post better and outplay CCS's guards on the perimeter.

CCS has no "vastly" superior talent right now and the beat Grace and have won several big games. Played close with Temple once and beat McCallie. (who is the only team to beat Temple) They beat CPA who has two outstanding players.

 

Kyle (the sophomore) is the only guy on this team that could possibly play college ball, and they have had a pretty good season.

 

If CCS stays out of foul trouble they can play with Grace and it could be close. Should be a great game, Grace has an emotional advantage after getting beat at home by CCS. Looking forward to it.

Grace will be up for this one more than CCS will. They will be dying for redemption after the last meeting and they are ready for another shot at Temple after playing them so close last week. If Dilts and Jeffery Smith keep up their level of play, Grace wins this one and sets up another classic matchup with Temple on Friday. If those two don't show up (and I think they will), it will be another big win for CCS.

Grace should take this one by 5.....

 

They are rolling now with a good performance agaisnt temple and a strong win last night at LV. Dilts and McMasters are going to have to play a huge game defensively, while I look for Kidwell and Smith to be the players to step up offensively. JP and Davis will get their points, and lately Dilts has been putting up good numbers too. So if Kidwell can hit a few shots from the perimeter and Smith can make his 10-12 footers that he shoots. Then Grace should win this one, but it will take a team effort in which all cylinders are running.
