Go back and check your stats, and I believe that was the best 3 point shooting game of the year for Jackson Co.  Guarentee no other game was even close.  Yes, Coach Brown always has a plan, and yes it usually works.  But even he would probably admit that he would never expect it to work out that well.  Probably the same as Insell would say about their defeat of Jackson Co. late in the year.  F.Y.I. watch the game before you have a comment.  They were not 40 points better than Clarkrange, anymore than Shelbyville was 40 better than Jackson Co.  Who brought up that dumb subject of last year anyway?  OHH!  Just Devilfanatic living in the past again.  I apologize for even getting caught up in this blabbering jibbirish anyway.  Good luck Jackson Co. next year.  We will just let the teams decide who is better.  I look forward to watching them both play in the finals next year.

WHAT? and I thought that I would miss the Livingston/Baxter/Jackson County rivalrys. Sounds like the more things change the more they stay the same. But still, lets see, Jackson County beat Clarkrange twice this year, Clarkrange beat Oliver Springs, All three teams have excellent players coming up from Jr. High and loosing very few Seniors. Seems to me that the STATS say that Jackson County has the edge. Can't wait, should be a fun few years.

Clarkrange loses no players. The losses that we had to JC this year were minimal and the one at JC was called poorly and Ramsey was ill. We led both games most of the way. Both teams put forth good efforts. We have proved that we can win on the road and at home in the sub-state. C-Range has the best 8th grade class coming in the state. I understatd that yall have a giant, but we have 3 players that could start on any A team in the state. They(8th) have won 2 state titles in a row. Look forward to great games in the future. GO BUFFS!! By the way Who is at the BORO??

The loss OS had to C-Range was a minimal. Both teams put fourth good efforts, OZ did not have their best performance.

If we had any sense that night, we would have posted up every kid on the floor.

C-Range is @ the Boro, cause OZ & JC played AA this year.

I don't see it getting any easier for Oliver Springs with the move to 1A. The larger city schools they've had to face in the past will be replaces with the private city schools. About half of each year's substate field in 1A is private schools from the big cities.

Competition in the district may be easier, but advancing in the state tournament will not be.

OS will have competition in their own district next year, where if they slip one night in the region they will bite the bullet. Your talking about Coalfield(State), Oneida(State), and Wartburg(Region Semi's-District Champion) ball clubs that bring almost every key player back next year. Oakdale was extremely young this year and I would think they will have a capable team(defeated Wartburg once) in the coming year. Will OS be the front runner? I'm sure people will put them there, but the other teams will not go quietly in the night! And thats just the district games!

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
