Our coach as he's walking away from a discussion with an ump: "We're in the Bermuda Triangle of officiating."

When a runner gets thrown out trying to steal:

"He's got deceptive speed. He's slower than he looks."

or

"He's so slow they time him with a calendar."

The other day during a JV game someone in the dugout yelled FENCE when the ball went up in-between the pitcher and catcher, the missed it. Same person yells fence to the 1st basemen, he slid, ebded uo about 5 foot from fence. ok the next day at a varsity game, fly ball to center, he yells suoer loud FENCE, and the kid runs right into the fence. bad thing was, the fence was about stomach high to the kid oouch...

all of these are good, im going to use some of these Wednesday..haha, im gonna write them down

Here's a good one for when a pitcher is getting tired and starts missing his spots real bad. It takes two players though

Player 1: Hey!! Put his stuff on a milk carton!!!

Player 2: Why man! Why!

Player 1: 'Cause he's lost it!!!

That one always pisses our coach of real bad. But its worth it.

At the Riverdale Blackman game last week when Riverdale took the lead in the top of the 7th inning Riverdale's whole team stood and cheered at home plate before the play was even over they acted like they won the world series. Buut on a serious note why do baseball players complain so much about other teams being bush league. Granted I dont agree with people being bush league but is there so much complainig if you want a team to stop being bush league then go out on the field and beat them. Maybe this is just the basketball coach mentality I have but I just dont understand I hear more complaining in baseball than in any other sport. somebody please explain this to me

Absolutely. The world needs less complaining and more purpose pitches.

Official scorer: " Didn't hit his glove, so it's gotta be a hit."

Oh, wow--a couple of years ago, this poor freshman in his first at-bat hit a screaming line drive into left field. The LF came charging in, made a full-out dive, and the ball hit off the LF's glove. The scorer charged it as an error. After all, he said, it did hit off the LF's glove.

Sheesh.

    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
    • Dorian Eskridge had a great Junior year, highlighted by a great game to lead HVA to an upset win at OR that year. I think that was 2010. In 2011 OR won at HVA. OR had a real good QB that year l think. Dorian Eskridge had a great senior year also. He always played hard from the DCM videos l saw.
