I believe Fox will have 300 yards rushing, but I believe Clinton's experience and speed will be the difference in the game. I still think it will be close and high scoring though.

92, Clinton will not have more team speed than AC even with the addition of Woods.  If you beat us, it will be with your line play and Thrasher, who is an impressive QB, along with an improved defense.

What do you think abt Clinton & AC possibly being in the new region with Fulton, Carter, Gibbs, & Union Co next year?

I myself dont like it. I like the one we're in now.

I agree with you.  I'd rather keep it the way it is.  The rivalries that have developed (we'll always play Clinton no matter what and that's the way it should be) and having so much on the line with OR and Powell have eclipsed in my mind the rivalries we at AC had with Fulton, AE and Catholic in our old region.  It would help the other sports though.

I dont like traveling far away for games either and with this new region we would be traveling longer distances. Oh well. I guess it is what it is.

At least Clinton & AC will be in the same region. I guess we will both have to add Oak Ridge as a non region game.

I think both AC and Clinton should schedule Oak Ridge as a Non Region Game as well, seems fitting to continue that, but I do not think that will be the case unfortunately.  I know most Oak Ridge fans like the thought of Playing DB, so I am pretty sure they will drop AC or Clinton as a Non region and would rather see DB put in that slot.

If we drop anybody it will probably be AC. We have been playing Clinton for 70 or so years. I don't see that changing. That's like Maryville taking Alcoa off their schedule. We don't have that type of history with AC.

I agree. I can't imagine Clinton & OR not playing each other. The regions look like they will be smaller anyway, so most teams will have 3 or more non region games.

As long as Gaddis is around you can guarantee Clinton will be on our schedule. That may be his favorite game. Even though it has been lopsided in recent years and overall in OR's favor the Clinton/OR rivalry has always been pretty hotly contested, even when we were really really good Clinton always gave us a tough hard hitting ballgame.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
