BlackHavenSenator
Dive? That's not part of the wingt offense smh....I guess you mean Trap. If you run the T correct ,you can't take it all away. One thing you are correct about is 3 and long but most teams now have the ability to spread too. Controlled penetration KILLS EVERYTHING in the Wing T... It's an outdated offense.

That, and not giving up your edges. Control the corners and string out the plays around the end. It's assignment football.
apsugov7
Controlled penetration KILLS EVERYTHING in the Wing T... It's an outdated offense. Which is true in all Offense's. Again if ran correct that penetration will get you in a whole heap of trouble.

Controlled penetration would not hurt a spread or west coast type offense.
mondo44
Just a few numbers from an Hville supporter of 30 years do not have the athletes of a Whitehaven, Oakland. 1 D1 player in the last 10 years (Joe Townsend at Vanderbilt) 2013 11 wins avg 35 points per game 2014 10 wins avg 44 points per game 2015. 10 wins avg. 33 points per game 2016. 7 wins avg 35 points per game Recent playoff history Won at Ridgeway (Sheldon Dawson, Jaylen Walton and many other D1's Won at Henry County Won at Indy (Vic Wharton, Finis Stribling, Rashaun Gaulden) Won at Station Camp ( Josh Malone, Kyle Anderton) Beat White Station ( Cedric Wilson, Petera Wilson, Dillon Mitchell) scored 49 on a team that beat Whitehaven earlier in the playoffs Beat Indy (Andrew Bunch jr year) scored 49 Put 46 up against Cane Ridge this year, other than Indy who did that Put 28 up against Hillsboro this year and gained 400 yards, only Oakland and Indy did that 4 trips to the finals since 98 Won our last 5 against Shelby County schools For a team that typically faces teams with better athletes most of the time we have done okay. We run the offense best suited for the players we have If it is so easy to stop with controlled penetration why doesn't everybody do it I would put up stats of yards gained and points scored and playoff wins against our rivals in the past 10 years running the outdated offense but out of time for now
mondo44
1 more thing, congratulations to Whitehaven on the state title. Great group of young men led by a coach that cares about his players on and off the field.

On behalf of the coach and those young men, Thanks.
