Bass no disrespect to the Bucs but they are NOT a top 10 team.HV and Hampton would beat them bad.SP is going to be close to a mercy rule.I'm not joking either.I have a lot of respect for Boyd but they are just not a top ten team this year.IMO. Edited by orngnblk

You could be right, but I'm basing this on them losing 19-0 to Marion County and 19-9 to Meigs County. Two top 10 teams. Obviously they are decent because outside of the SP game they are the only team to stay in the game with Marion County. Also if SP comes close to mercy ruling them does that really mean they are a bad team? Edited by TheAmbassador

Not at all.SP beating Marion proves that SP is an Elite 1A team---Although I don't think Marion is a great team like last years.I think Marion is a GB type team not great but very good.SP is hitting its stride right now and I wish we were as consistent.GB when they play can play with any 1A team(except maybe that Dresden team.WOW).Boyd has no Offense against decent teams and their D won't stop SP.This is only my opinion tho,I could be very wrong I just don't think I am.We will see.

On another note basing teams on scores is so hard to do.Marion whipped Meigs and they both beat Boyd in similar fashion.

Boyds offense wont score much on the Pirates, but to think their defense wont slow them is crazy i think. I may be wrong but their defense will keep em in the game. What are you basing your prediction that Happy Valley or Hampton would hammer boyd? Thats funny as well. Have you watched any of the three in person? I would say that Boyd would have their way with most of the schools that those two play up that way.

HaHa you are right. Most 1A and 2A teams would have their way with any of them except HV and Hampton. Those two are pretty good.I guess the beat them bad was a little much.I would expect both to beat Boyd with their offenses.I just don't think Boyd could score enough to beat them.It is my opinion tho.I just haven't seen enough to say Boyd is better than either one.NOW When Pitt score 35 on Boyd will you come on here and say I was right?LOL! • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say the have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
    • Crazy how the thread just gets deleted when facts come out.
    • I understand I guess it depends on the school you are with and the time you want to put in.  It’s evident of the schools that don’t put in as much times.  I would say basketball players put in as much time as any sport in our school system and this is coming from a football town.  Bball is a longer season than other sports.
    • 7 Pages of complaining because the lacrosse team put removable lines on the field so that they could practice/play lacrosse  Y'all boys are bored huh lol
