  1. Today
  2. Or anyone from that region all the teams are bringing back loads of talent and bringing up even more.
  3. I can’t see Gordonsville being much of a threat to the top dogs in the east. We looked better than I expected us to look in the spring but we have some major issues on the O line and D line
  4. If I was betting man, I would throw my life savings on SP being in the post season
  5. What kind of mess is this? Even in a down year the Pirates should roll through the East. There were younguns that could start on a lot of 1A teams that didn't get to play much last season. Those kids have that fever to continue the ride the Pirates are on. 1A in the east especially is weak and that does not bode well for SP opponents. I believe they get back to the title game again and just may win another one. We always hear about how tough the west is all season and then they run into the Pirates and they aren't as tough as people thought. I'll take SP and give the rest of 1A in a bet.
  6. SP got two LV players? They must not be very good. They just went 0-10 again.
  7. Only teams I can imagine threatening the pirates are Gordonsville or Coalfield. Jo Byrns looks to be improving though, fielded a solid middle school team last year.
  8. Yesterday
  9. Just for S&Giggles whens the last time SP didn’t make the playoffs?
  10. The sandbagging begins… y’all made sure LV won’t be a problem by snagging 2 of their better players.
  11. And yes, in 2010 Clary/Scott Monger got into it with a R’dale fan. Well, mostly Monger lol. I think the fan took a swing at him. It’s funny as all get out listening to it on the replay. Scott told the guy to sit his a** down. Lol. That wasn’t the only time SM got into it with an opposing team. Seems like he got into it with someone at William Blount one year. He was an OG lol
  12. Nope, they knew lol. He was just one tough hombre. Played right up to near the end of the Powell game like that and we almost won. I think they beat us, 21-17. Was a valiant effort on his part though.
  13. No, that was in 2010. We played them in the quarterfinals in ‘11 the year I’m talking about, but we got hammered 35-14. 2010 was a fun year though. Played Maryville in the semis and gave them a really tough game for the majority of that game, but their depth eventually wore OR down, 38-21. Bradley had a few awesome runs in that game. He was a stud. Nothing fancy, but like I said, a mini Tebow. Would keep that read option up the middle and pound that tater in there. He was hard to bring down. Probably went for 195 lbs, if that.
  14. Gibson County will be good next year as well. The five girls that didn't start last year are all solid and we have Micah Hart's sister coming up this year. We will be very competitive especially late in the year. May lose some this summer getting girls reps and trying to figure things out but we are going to be good.
  15. Dyersburg will be really good for a while. Their JV is loaded as well. South Gibson ought to be much better with four really good players coming up from an undefeated Jr. High Team. Also will have 3 players back from knee injuries last year. They will be a handful especially late. Dyersburg District right there with the Upperman District with quality teams.
  16. Numbers are down everywhere in HS sports. Bradford with a great tradition for sure. Never know with every school about these numbers.
  17. Somehow it got removed sounds like you got the scoop based off your post on the other thread but I still find that hard to believe
  18. That could be true but I find it hard to believe a school would stick their neck out like that for that type of kid. They gain nothing out of it.
  19. No replacing 3 all state players. Especially Dozier. He would save Rang when he threw it too much. heard the coach who won y’all the first Clinton game, by giving it to Dozier enough, left for Red pastures.
  20. I remember the name but not that injury. Wonder what he is into these days
  21. I think Dykes was better but your claim is a good 2nd and the list stops there. Dykes getting an NFL opportunity is big time even if it was short lived
  22. Here's a link to the brochure: 2024 Southern Champs Camp If you're looking for a camp, it'll be tough to find one in the local area with better clinicians.
