  1. Yep she won two Gold Balls this year then right?? Do love the fact TSSAA has allotted lots of time between games for these Title Games. I have been blessed to be there for 4 Gold Balls and a Silver Ball for Gibson County. Thing about winning the Gold Ball is the celebration after: the photos, the hugs, the team comes out and coaches....Some times we end up at the players hotels. All lots of fun but some times we miss the other Title Games. Dyersburg I stayed and watched and was very happy for y'all. Coach Strayhorn has done a ton for girls basketball in West Tennessee. Proud for him and Dyersburg and all y'all. Winning the Gold Ball is a great feeling every time you win it. I enjoy watching other teams get to experience it. Some teams and fans are all about themselves and jealous but I ain't like that and will never be. Congrats again.

  4. Greeneville had some nice wins last year with how young they were beating Alcoa, Bearden, Morristown West, and Morristown East who all either made the sub state or played at the Glass House. Greeneville returns Thompson, Anderson, Tweed, Mcgill, and Mills that either started or was first off the bench and got a lot of playing time. McGill was a Junior, Thompson, Anderson, and Tweed were Sophomores and Mills who was a Freshman. There were 4 seniors on the team last year. Greeneville should be good next year as long as everyone stays healthy

  5. Barn l hope you are doing as good as you can right now during a tough situation. Pertaining your question in your second sentence, you are about 5 months behind. Triggers have already been pulled. People will figure it out soon enough.

  7. I respect your honest opinion, sir. But as a friend and former colleague of Coach Waggoner, I will defend him up to a point. Brad is a good coach. You don’t spend time on an ACC staff without being good. He led the school in Georgia, where I ended up finishing my career, to their best season in 29 years. He has improved each situation that he has been in, including, as you no doubt know, leading Trousdale Co. to Game 15. GP knew his history when they hired him. And, as he said, he has had an eye on this Florida job for many years. Brad is one of very few who really enjoys the application/interview process. I especially appreciated the way that he included and paid homage to Hall of Fame Coach Benny Hammonds at GP. He leaves GP in a better place than they were in when he arrived, IMO. Now it’s up to them to make a good hire and keep building on what Brad started. Thank you for your time.

  11. Know it happened earlier today but does anyone stand out to fill that spot. Definitely looked like a cosy job with an easy region and regular playoff success until inevitably playing Alcoa.

  12. Is that a joke? McConnell has had 70 points put up on him more than any coach I have ever seen. In no way did he contribute to them winning that gold ball I'm not saying he's a bad coach but don't give credit where it isn't deserved. He was there 2 years before they won it and saw very lackluster success
