  1. Fulton is still going to be tough, don't get me wrong; however, they lost a ton. The best that I can remember, the only starters that Fulton has coming back on the Offensive Side of the ball is one WR and QB, which QB's and WR's are irrelevant in their Offense. They wouldn't throw the football on a consistent basis if you walked everyone into the box. They couldn't play pitch and catch and complete 6 out of 10 with no DB's. Defensively, they lost everyone up front except for Stokes (All-State) and Cobb. They might have 1 DB coming back, not for sure and why a school that size can't find someone to kick a football, I don't know, so Special Teams are not really a factor for them. Plus return man Freeney is gone. If they have any typical "Fulton problems" they could barely finish 5-5. Remember they do have a lot of off the field and on the field issues.
  2. ruse? You have all the answers. I had the fortune of watching Smith play a few times under the power lines last year. He was not all Catholic had, but about all. So, yes Catholic lost about everything. As for Fulton, you are correct, they have some players back, but they did lose 20 starting positions, not 20 starters, but people that occupied 20 of their starting positions, you lets don't slam anyone, unless you want us to disect every one of your posts. I believe Fulton and Catholic will be tough, but not as tough as the past couple of years. AE will be much stronger than they have been in the last couple years.
  3. That's unfortunate for the kid. Why would anyone in their right mind leave CAK for South Doyle? I understand if the kid can't afford CAK, but you are not going to find a much better program in Knox County than CAK and you are not going to find a much worse program in Knox County than South Doyle. CAK has one of the finest coaching staffs in East Tn, with Rusty Bradley and his father, Mark Bradley.
  4. The REBEL Nation doesn't have to be respectful. They are the Alabama of the 2000's, just like when Bear Bryant ran the TIDE. The REBS are well recruited, have great depth, arrogant, and used to winning.
  5. Seems like Lake County is doing pretty well. UTM is an up and coming team in the OVC.
  6. I think Region 1-3A gets a bad rap, because Region 1-3A and 2-3A are all people in East Tn really know about in 3A. There are some other regions across the state that are not very strong either. Region 2-3A is very, very strong. There is no doubt about that, but it is incredibly stronger than any other region in the state also. Region 8-3A in Memphis is a joke, absolute joke. Their #1 team gets beat a lot in the first round of the playoffs. Region 6-3A is a joke also. Year in and year out the teams in Region 6-3A couldn't play with any teams in Region 7-3A. Region 3-3A is really weak also. I believe Region 1-3A gets a bad rap, because it is paired up with one of the toughest regions in the state (2-3A) in any classification. Besides Region 3-4A, no other region can boast as many champions as Region 2-3A can since 2000.
  7. What type of QB are you talking about? I have seen good veer QB's that couldn't throw a lick and I have seen good pocket QB's in the wrong system that look ridiculous running an option offense.
  8. I believe they are reading their press clippings. You can get too full of yourself, especially coming off a good year.
  9. Bennett is a good player. He is sideline to sideline.
  10. Who is this guy? I am out of the loop. After Flatt, who are we talking about ?
  11. Is he going to play LB or DE. Chavis likes to beef up decent sized high school LBs and move them to DE for a speed rusher. Could see Donald in that mold with a 6'2-6'3 frame. Kind of like a Parys Haralson.
  12. Is Sykes going to be academically eligible. I heard that he is better than Warren at DE.
  13. East Tn didn't win the 1A, 5A, or any DII championships, so I wouldn't say that East Tn is completely dominant. I would say that Region 2 3A is dominant and I would say that Maryville and Alcoa are dominant, not East Tn as a whole. Much better talent in West Tn and much better coaching in Middle Tn.
  14. What is going on with this job, does anyone know? I thought Carlton Flatt was going to take this job. I guess he didn't, so where is the process now?
  15. What position will Donald play that is the question. Will he play WLB or will Chavis beef him up and move him down to the Defensive Line? What does Donald run the 40 in?
  16. What's up with the AD? Does the Principal not have more power?
  17. There is no room for humiliation of players. Especially if foul language is involved. High School players are young adults and should be treated as such.
  18. Has Liberty lost a regular season game yet? They will move up in both basketball and football next year. It will hurt them in football. Basketball should be okay.
  19. How many career sacks did Davis have? Saw him play several times. He had a motor that wouldn't stop.
  20. I don't know, but Kendell had a heck of a year. Is he going to get any opportunities at the next leve?
