  1. Josh Boyd is pretty good.....I will grant him that. He has a lot of fight in him. How old is he though?? Drew Hayes....well he is summed up in one word. OVERRATED. Yeah, I said it, overrated. He has thrown for that many yards against who did you say, oh yeah, Camden and Adamsville, Adamsville hasn't won a game....I think Camden has only won one game. You can't judge a kid on how good he is when he has played teams like that, oh wait, you are from McKenzie, you can do that there. That is the same place that gives a solo tackle to a guy who jumps on a pile before the whistle is blown. Makes the stats look good though don't it? I know of several QB's just on the local 2a scene who are a lot better than him. George West out of Milan....he has quite a few yards....and is quite a bit more efficient. Adam Parish is a better QB......Mck has played 5 games against teams who aren't very good....and has thrown 5 INTs. Parish doen't have one and West has thrown two against some of the toughest teams around. So yeah.....Drew Hayes is overrated. Phillip Weathers is showing outstanding performance on both sides of the ball. He would get my vote long before Hayes did.
  2. Chester County wins my vote for most improved, that was quite possibly some of the loudest fans at a football game that have ever been heard.....I could not hear the radio announcer every time CC made a big play.
  3. Comer is overrated, I like Morris from Milan, Mansfield from Huntingdon, Coady from Westview, Barnes before he left Union City, PA Pratt From Crockett County, and Rod Sturdivant from Bruceton and Mickey Marley from USJ.
  4. RUMLEY, give it a rest man, I am from Huntingdon and I am telling you personally to shut your mouth. We do not care to here you, Milan nor Huntingdon likes it. It is ridiculous. I agree, George West had a great season last year, this year is no different, Huntingdon hasn't thrown much this year but the QB is 10 for 11 with 4 tds and 241 yards. Thats a 24.1 yard average. Smith was an all stater, but he had no other rb to share carries with, Bell and Porter have. Porter doesn't even run the ball anymore. Davis is a hoss at linebacker, but Huntingdon has three. So Personally I think they are pretty well matched in my opinion, but Rumley, dude seriously, its getting real old. Milan can win it just as easy and Huntingdon can.
  5. How can you make fun of a school because they do well in the classroom. There are a select few across the state who will be good enough to let football pay their salalry. The rest have to rely on what they got while in the classroom......so now who thinks in the longrun that football is still more important? BTW I am from Huntingdon, and or system missed the federal benchmark, so I hope that washedup is not from Huntingdon.
  6. I don't care if Cody Cook made all anything, what competition does Mckenzie have every year? Huntingdon. That is the only decent team they play. They don't load up on powers that are normally in Westview, Union City, or Milan. Cody Cook is nowhere near the best back in the state. Look at who they play, im 5'9'' 200 and ran a 5.3 last time I checked and could pull his stats. Four of the top four backs in West Tn are Earnest Williams from Crockett County, Terrance Bell of Huntingdon, The Crayton guy out of McNairy, and Rod Smith of Milan, I am not familiar with anyone from Middle or East though.
  7. Supastar, you must be outside of your ever lovin mind. Bell has danced around in the backfield for oh I would say a little over 500 yards I think I know its over 400, in THREE games. He could dance around the entire Chester County defense. He has been hit hard, and he keeps going, remember, you have to keep hands on him to tackle him, and he is capable of breaking all kinds of tackles. That is why he is so good. Chester County hasn't even seen the Freshman running back we have, you need to stop him too. You might want to try and stop Weathers while you are at it, or how about Parish, or maybe Hillsman. You are full of it if you think Huntingdon is a one man show with Bell being the man. Sure he has the most rushing yards, but he has earned his claim to it. You can try all you want, but you won't shut him down, not completely, he will get it down the field somehow. When he isn't, the others will. CC has to keep up with and get good hands on Bell. We will see Friday night if Huntingdon is a one man show.
  8. Brian Nellett has I think a 47 yard average. It is somewhere up there, watch him to be looked at by several schools.
  9. Drew Hayes is extremely overrated. He threw for 310 against who??Camden. I was there, Camden didnt have a DB within 5 yards of a receiver on any play. He had 30 seconds to throw the ball. Camden won two games last year. Cody Cook doesn't do much against a good defense. Lets see what they do week 10 when H-town rolls in.
  10. Got to say that on the offensive side of the ball, Terrance Bell is one of the most exciting running back's that I have seen in a while. Also on defense, Hunter Hastings is a junior but quite a load playing LB. He knocks the ever living crap out of anyone he hits.
  11. Chester County is improved. I will grant you that. They may have one of the best Defenses Huntingdon has seen yet. On the other side of the picture, Chester County's defense has played an offense like Huntingdon's all year. Probably won't. The H-town Offense is going to run the legs clean off of Chester County. Believe Dat. Parish can throw the ball quite well when need be. That is a very overlooked part of the offensive attack. Chester County's offense hasn't played a defense like Huntingdon's either, They are tough all the way around and will knock the taste out of your mouth win or lose. In the end, Huntingdon will be way too much for Chester County to handle. I am glad to see Chester County coming along though, I hope they wear Mckenzie out.
  12. Huntingdon and Bruceton Huntingdon and McKenzie Huntingdon is in the same county with both and is no more than 10 minutes from either.
  13. washedup, you must not know much. One player would not make that much difference. They would still finish third in the region like they are going to. They would not be best in the state, not even the region. No one is superman. The team has finally come along and are playing good. But one kid wouldn't start no show.
  14. I am from Huntingdon, and as bad as i hate to and as bad it hurts me to say, I think MCK will walk away with this one. The defense has allowed 1 TD in two games against Obion and Camden. That ain't sayin much. No one brags on Huntingdon's D for not allowing any TD's in 2 games. They haven't allowed a score in two games, but we played Bruceton and Adamsville, so we don't brag on them yet.
  15. I can't believe I left out PA Pratt. He took a crappy program and makes runs to the end of the palyoffs quite consistently. John Tucker was a God.
  16. They haven't played the same team yet, rjm has no clue what he is talking about. Milan is no bigger or no faster than Huntingdon and are no stronger, these two teams are very evenly matched. I am from Huntingdon, but I have said it before and will reitterate myself and say I have no clue who will win. It will not be a blow out either way, Huntingdon's defense is extremely tough, I haven't seen Milan this year, but there D is always real good. I would have to say its going to be decided by no more than two touchdowns either way. It won't matter til week 7.
  17. I sort of like games played at Martin Westview, seeing as how it is on the UTM field. Huntingdon is a great place to play, even though I love calling it home.
  18. I think you need not leave out Mike Mansfield at Huntingdon, or Mickey Marley at USJ, even Don Coady at Westview. Wade Comer is extremely overrated. The team doesn't play anyone above junior high level except for Huntingdon.
  19. They don't recruit, they give full "academic" rides to kids who can't write their names.
  20. I am from Huntingdon and I will have to agree with ole d-love. How about we all shut up, quit arguin, milan and huntingdon alike, and let the game be decided on the field. No matter who wins, the winning side will come out talking all kind of crap.
  21. To say the kid has no body fat is entirely unbelievable. A kid at that age it is impossible. The lowest bodyfat at that weight would be on a height of some1 8 feet and three inches at his age. Not a rumor, according to a medical obesity chart. He may not be a complete blob, but he isn't chisled granite either.
  22. I think you are all absolutely crazy if you think their is a team in the region that can beat Huntingdon when playing like they should. That is the long, short, fat and skinny of it. That is however my opinion on the matter and I could very well be wrong. I don't believe so however. Huntingdon will come out on top, Mckenzie will be a distant second, followed by Camden, Chester County, Riverside and Adamsville.
  23. George West, the senior out of Milan is well proven
