LOD, I do agree that Oakland has superior coaching. But, them kids went undefeated as 9th graders and handled even the mighty Riverdale with Rankin there (2005). Now, if Riverdale at the time (2005) had the better of the coaching staffs, why did they get beat by a inferior coaching staff at Oakland at that time(2005). Because after all, Riverdale from 1991-2005 had the best coaching staff that got less with more. Oakland had better players period.

Noooooooo way the HC would be that foolish. If so, the HC has been taking some excelrated courses on how to organize and call an offense. His offense 3 years ago was as bad as it gets (NO IDENTITY). Otherwise, egoes sometimes cloud our judgement.

Oakland PHYSICALLY beat everybody except for lebanon this year. If anybody says different, their just making excuses cause they couldn't man up and not get physically beat. Give Oakland their due, they deserve it. Congrats 2P, you have been with them through thick and thin.

Blackman runs away with this one tonight. Lavergne will be in the mix again next year.

You guys r gonna run out of tickets by 6:30 tonight. Talent level is up at Oakland this year and for coming years. Oakland has little dept at this point like a lotta teams right now. Riverdale has kept it on the dl all year thus far. I think both teams will turn the ball over a couple times tonight n a low scoring affair. Oakland returns a kick for the win.

DaCatfish, I gotta agree with TDCman about the 2004 team being dang good. One of the best I've ever seen, maybe the best. You can hate on coach A all you want, but Fiz couldn't hold his jock. Pearl's back 2 back championship teams were as talented as any Hillsboro team that I ever saw play. I think both men r/were good for the players at their schools. Never heard of either throwing away letters meant for the players like a certain coach that is looking for a challenge.

That's not how I recall Central at all. Don't think that I ever looked at them and said..now them guys are disciplined!

Riverdale will be a contender this year. The days of them winning games before they even get off the bus are long gone though.
