  1. No, D-B and Greeneville played in the finals of the regional, that is why they both went to the Sub-State. Roll Tribe Roll
  2. rolltriberoll, Yeah, the story was put out by the AP and thus received widespread coverage (my sister in Houston saw in that paper)...It's pretty cool. Roll Tribe Roll
  3. ALL the games of The Arby's Classic will be live on streaming video @ easttnsports.com...The cost is $4.95 per day. Roll Tribe Roll
  4. It was showing 27-7 with 7 plus minutes to go and then jumped to a final with it 28-27...anybody have a confirmation or correction?
  5. denlron, It's the Fred...J. Fred Johnson Stadium Roll Tribe Roll
  6. I just really don't understand that situation. What were the expectations for this season? Everything I saw said that if they played well the Hill should be in contention for the 4th playoff spot...well they earned the 4th playoff spot...isn't that achieving something? they reached expectations...that should be rewarded not punished. Roll Tribe Roll
  7. 360+ total yards to 89... Roll Tribe Roll
  8. Skip Brown is the best ever. Period
  9. 91 was Jamarr Sensabaugh's number. Roll Tribe Roll
  10. TnBreakers, I will tell Kim, Becky, & Coty. Thanks for the kind thoughts...I'll happily wish Conner good luck and good health. Look forward to seeing you all this Friday. Roll Tribe Roll
  11. Why does it count when sportswriters say a player is the best, but not when they say a team?... Roll Tribe Roll
  12. 20-14 was the final, Maryville...17-7 starters...a good night of football...really great to get together at Carson-Newman, hope that can become a tradition...Good luck to the Red Rebels Roll Tribe Roll
  13. I see the Big East as being Dobyns-Bennett and Sevier County battling for the first spot, Bearden taking third, and Jefferson County and Science Hill fighting for 4th...it should be a very entertaining year in the Big East. Roll Tribe Roll
  14. I agree on the pizza, thanks for the reminder. Roll Tribe Roll
  15. The Big East Conference was formed with the establishment of the five classifications...prior to that, the AAA conference in northeast Tennessee was the Big 9 conference (was also the Big 10 and the Big 7, depending upon the numbers of schools)...the Big 9 moniker is still used in basketball, baseball, and other non-football sports. Roll Tribe Roll
  16. This time three years ago we were preseason talking about the Patriots as the team to beat in the Big East with Jeff Jennings, Scooter Houston, Tyler Brown, and their outstanding QB (whose name I am ashamed to say I have forgotten)...and that was a good team, but didn't beat D-B. Jefferson County hasn't been down for 4 or 5 years...two years ago super soph Chris Shiverdecker was running for 100 yards in a loss to D-B. The Patriots are a proud program who had a very difficult season last year, but let's not throw a longterm downswing on this school...it is a great football school and will continue to be. I expect D-B and Sevier County to be at the top of the conference this year, but do expect some good things from the Patriots. Roll Tribe Roll
  17. Art, GLee's son is a very fine two way player returning for the Cyclones...did their RB transfer as was previously reported on here? Roll Tribe Roll
  18. GLee, "Knoxville area teams"?...Oak Ridge has been a great rival for D-B and the Indians lost once to Karns, but teams?...I don't think Art was taking shots at anyone, but no one from up this way has beaten Maryville, as basically nobody has for the past few years...I wish all the NET schools a state title, but in 4A that seems to more often than not belong to Maryville...just as 2A belongs to Alcoa... Good luck to you all this season...things calmed down over there?...you coaching baseball this summer?...if so, how are you all doing? See you soon. Roll Tribe Roll
  19. Art, I understand (and have been trying to confirm) that Tyler Joyce, who had a fantastic baseball season this year for the Tribe (league MVP worthy), will not be playing football this year...also, Lucas "Picnic" Henderson is going to stick with baseball (an outstanding year for the southpaw) as is Wesley Jones, who had a very strong end of the season for the baseball Indians...but otherwise, I think you are pretty much there...(and it's Josef) Roll Tribe Roll
  20. Chomp, You have presented three more seniors who will have a huge impact this year, but I think Art was trying to recall guys who were starters last year as juniors...however, you are right, John Mark played a lot and was a major contributor...Nathan has a huge motor and Phillip may be the most underrated player in NET...I also expect some big things from Paul Brian Trammell, Kevin White, Steven Steele, Alex Cox. Mikey Alley, Thomas Odom, Jimmy Burleson...and there are other seniors to be to be added that will make a major impact this year...just don't have a complete list...yet Roll Tribe Roll
  21. Art, Oak Ridge has last year's starting QB returning this year (Conner Gulmire)...they are looking for someone to step up as a back-up and a step-in for the next year... Roll Tribe Roll
