  1. Not looking good. Huntingdon has been begging to get beat starting with the sloppy start vs McEwen on homecoming. What better team to do it than our biggest region rival? Huntingdon needs this wake-up call.
  2. Huntingdon has a silver and about 4 "woulda, coulda, shoulda's"
  3. Yeah, I gathered that much already. I'm not sure why Huntingdon should even bother lacing em up the rest of the year. We already know we can't hang with Cornersville. We'll probably be 40 point underdogs.. ah well. Better luck next year.
  4. Too bad we can't just cancel the season and go ahead and crown Cornersville. I'm gonna have to cover my children's eyes when they come to town...
  5. It was definitely a good game and (as I suspected) will be Huntingdon's toughest test before playoff time. Glad to get out with a win and no injuries. Definitely saw a couple of Mustangs gassed tonight. Milan made em work for this one.
  6. Just heard on the radio that Riverside come back and won this one??
  7. Scoreboard was turned off before I could walk from the stands to the parking lot.. lol. idk why. Milan should be proud of the way they hung in there.. If not for a handful of questionable penalties and missed penalties, this game would've been about 60-15
  8. Bout to arrive in Milan and watch this stampede roll thru before any bad weather starts, hopefully. Wet field might slow the play down, but not enough for the dawgs to keep up!
  9. I think this will be a close game, but I'm picking West Carroll in the battle of overachievers.
  10. Warbritton was robbed that year, for sure. Such a shame. As far as this year, Huntingdon doesn't have any one player that's as dominant as Warbritton was, or even Kade Pearson for that matter. Ensley is good, no doubt, but he doesn't seem to take over games the way warbritton and Pearson did. No detriment to him, the Mustangs just have more options on the offense this year with Lawton running hard at someone every time he touches the ball and Robinson being a threat to take it to the house on any given play. He still has time to influence my opinion with his arm, though, if Huntingdon decides to start showing it off a little more. He's a better passer than what I saw from the previous 2 QB's. I definitely agree with the sentiment on Huntingdon's kicker. He has performed as well as any Huntingdon kicker that I've seen in a LONG time. With his 45 yarder a couple weeks ago, he's shown that kicking could actually be a weapon for Huntingdon this year instead of their downfall. It's really early for Mr Football talk, but I'd like to see some of the stats we've got across the state at the halfway mark.
  11. Huntingdon has the fire power to pull away with this one, but Milan almost always plays the Mustangs tough. This'll be a war for 2 quarters, but I think Mustangs pull away at the end of the 2nd/early 1st half. Assuming Huntingdon doesn't come out sloppy like they did against McEwen, I see the score something like 49-27. If Milan is sharp through the air, they'll hang in there. That's been Huntingdon's Achilles so far this year.
  12. Actually I know little-to-nothing about Forrest or their schedule. Seems like y'all have nice rivalry, though.
  13. I get it. You have to play your region. But the non-region games are super weak. Huntingdon, for example plays 2 teams that have been ranked in higher classifications in Waverly and Milan. Also Camden on that schedule who blew the doors off Lewis Co that you mentioned in your previous post. Huntingdon doesn't have the most daunting region, either. Especially with Wayne Co being down, but they do have some true tests in their non-region schedule.
  14. Not to take anything away from Cornersville, really, but they honestly haven't played anyone. Sure, there's something to be said about dominating your competition the way the have. However, it's hard to get a true guage of just how good the team is when it is inferior competition..
  15. This is the link to the ad that I keep getting auto redirected to So annoying. Can't seem to click twice without this hijacking my browser
  16. Huntingdon better come out to play in this one. If they treat this game like they just did McEwen, they'll blink and be down 21. Can't let that happen against a good team on the road. Hopefully they'll have a tough week of practice to get them ready for this game. It's not a region game, but it still means a lot to both teams.
  17. Anyone know why #7 didn't play for Huntingdon this week? I don't remember hearing anything on him. Thankfully Huntingdon didn't need him this week, but any time he's not on the field his big play ability is missed..
  18. 52-20 Is the final. #13 player of the game for Huntingdon tonight. Just kept pounding the ball.
  19. 38-13 Huntingdon at halftime. So far it's been a game of big plays. I've been impressed with the size and physicality of Camden's D line. Stuffing the box has forced Huntingdon to open the playbook up to the passing pages. Camden's 2 scores were on a kickoff return and a Camden fumble that bounced back up into another player's arms who ran it on in for the TD. Huntingdon will likely stuff it down their throats in the 2nd half.
  20. Dresden by a lot. 30+ spread here. West Carroll's play, from what I've gathered, has not been as impressive as their win/loss record thus far.
  21. I understand. Tough situation when you're the star player and your dad is the coach. He is an awesome talent, regardless.
