  1. Hard times? We were one year removed from a 9-1 regular season and made the playoffs the next year. If anything, it was a rebuilding period that led to where we are today.
  2. Love it! I'll say that sport won't be on top for much longer though.
  3. I'll leave that to Hamm, I'm busy myself with the MS rankings as is. I don't get bent out of shape on rankings though, they're all just opinions until the end of the year.
  4. Where's Dalon from Pigeon Forge? Also, Partin from PF should be higher than Wimbley from Alcoa. Foreman will be the champ at 132 and I don't see how Skidmore from PF is not in the top 2 at 160.
  5. Braden Ivy goes to Morristown West HS, not Knox West HS. I'd put Ivy at #2 in this poll at 106 but that's just me. Also I see no way Linderman will make 220 again this year, if he does then he's where he should be in the rankings.
  6. Hold your horses there tin can. It took 4 turnovers to beat Maryville by 6, so I'm not seeing Alcoa beat them by 28 (unless you're using Rankin 'Rithematic of course).
  7. I sure would like to see other schools (ahem Alcoa) play up.... Sure enough though Rankin and their Goobs will forever be happy beating us once a decade and celebrate winning titles against JV teams.
  8. We're well aware of that and have been for over 70 years, but that same 3A team would blank you guys just as bad if not worse. Not to mention your beat coach ever is a former Maryville guy. Let that sink in...
  9. After putting 42-0 on them Owls tonight, as much as it pains me to say it Alcoa may indeed be the "Best in the State" regardless if they're 3A or not. Maryville knows more than anyone that Alcoa isn't your typical 3A school. We very well could still walk away with a 6A title but losing to them tin cans will never be acceptable. To say Maryville doesn't have athletes is crazy talk. If not for the athletes we "don't" have our supposed "big" kids wouldn't be winning so much. This may be one of our smaller lines we've had yet they still keep winning. Athlete wise, I could put a bunch of our WR's and RB's on a track team and guarantee they'd smoke most teams in the state this year.
  10. I'll take our Juniors over your Sophomores. Congratulations though, 1 out of 10 is still .100.
  11. Hmmm. I know this is a message board, but I definitely don't throw around insults like that. Might wanna watch what you say because it might come back on you.
  12. OK you're a goon, but what's a goon to a goblin??
  13. I think you're confusing me with a large portion of your graduation classes.
  14. RR you're good in my book and I'm a RFL until the day I die. They can talk all they want though about Maryville this, Maryville that. I'd say they have enough Maryville alumni as administrators over there to be called Maryville Lite as far as I'm concerned.
  15. One's younger than me and one's older than me, figure it out.
  16. Never worked a day at the Jr. High unlike one of your coaches from another sport. He knows who I am though, but you can find my company's banner in the gym...
  17. Funny how you claim we steal Alcoa players when I played with 2 of your coaches at Maryville. One being the "Defensive Mastermind" you love so much...
  18. de·lu·sion·al dəˈlo͞oZH(ə)nəl/ adjective characterized by or holding idiosyncratic beliefs or impressions that are contradicted by reality or rational argument, typically as a symptom of mental disorder.
  19. Honestly, I couldn't care less if the MS team plays you guys or not.
  20. It wasn't lopsided last year, I have no idea why MJHS took them off the schedule this year but it wouldn't be lopsided and would more than likely be a W for MJHS.
  21. No worries, I think TN is definitely on the right track though. We've got some great coaches all over the state now, pretty soon we'll start seeing the results of all of their hard work.
