With Independence, Cane Ridge, and Hendersonville all moved to 6A, you have to think the road leads through 6-5A. Beech or Hillsboro. Will take a heck of a team to get either of those.

Lebanon should play imo Gallatin, Dekalb County, Antioch, and Lavergne if they are not scared of competition and would like a good gate with low cost of travel. If they are scared of competition, play Red Boiling Springs, Pickett County, Zion Christian, and Nashville School for the blind. You would get a better gate than playing Hunters Lane, Glencliff, and Warren County and you would achieve the same goal.

Coach Joslin has done a whale of a job

Round 2 Marion County vs. Watertown
PaPaLegba replied to Astimeexpires01's topic in Class 1A & Class 2A
Watertown has athletes that can hurt you on the perimeter and one hoss of a downhill runner. Still like Marion County due to their defense and boys up front. MC- 28 Watertown 21 -

Who takes on the Franklin County job now?
PaPaLegba replied to REBELFAN70's topic in Class 5A & Class 6A
So you fire Carr down there because the people wanted to see the spread with all those FC "Athletes". Hire Scott Smith and his Multiple Trigger Offense (what a joke), and ya fire him. No one with any sense is going into that Dumpster Fire of a joke you call Athletics. Fire people who compete and win 5-6 games every year because you think his offense is boring so you hire Scott Smith who has coached 10 programs in 8 years and fire him after 2. These things take time which FC isnt willing to give.Carr was never going to win you a championship I get that, but you gave his replacement 2 seasons? First off you replaced him with this disloyal joke who has an inflated view of himself and then what, don't even give that joke time to win before he bailed on you. What is happening down there? No one with any sense at all is going to apply. Its a shame too.Nice school, wonderful town, awesome potential both in that sorry region as well as 5A in general, but whoever calls the shots in Winchester is a moron. Also if your little Middle School coaches and their rivalry is keeping yall from running what the high school does, and you don't call for their firings, you deserve to lose. The End -
Blackman @ Coffee County For Battle of the Running Backs
PaPaLegba replied to Blaze45's topic in Class 5A & Class 6A
Blackman will steam roll Coffee County. If a 6A school cant beat Walker Valley, JPII, or Warren County and cant compete with Cookeville, you have no business even entertaining the idea they can run with the big boys. Until Coffee wins the games they are supposed to, no one from that town has the right to talk big. -
Beech wins big. 35-13

Not only will Grundy beat Cannon, they will mercy rule them.

Taylor scores 3 TDs, JP2 wins the game

South Pittsburg vs Seqatchie (Grider against this Caine man)
PaPaLegba replied to Roy Dillard's topic in Class 1A & Class 2A
Regardless of rain, Im gonna say South Pitt wins this one. Will I be shocked if Squatch wins? No. I got South Pitt by 14 -
Love the Veer. When ran right near impossible to stop. Can only slow it down or hope for bad decisions/turnovers. Good luck Grundy hope yall can prove naysayers wrong
-
That is surprising...You lead them to a championship in MS. But only 20 or so playing for him at the HS. At least yalls baseball coach has it going on!
-
York was 2-8. Whitwell 6-6. Cannon 0-10. Other 7 games were top 25 3A opponents. Very tough schedule for Grundy. However, you had a program that was a perennial playoff team, regardless of the competition you have to admit there was a better feeling on the mountain with the Bryant's than currently. I would say Grundy and Cannon will be battling for the bottom spot for a while. Grundy should beat them every year but with this schedule, Grundy will struggle through the foreseeable future. I say you beat Cannon and are more competitive against Whitwell and York, but ultimately you are looking at another 1-9 season. Here is the question, do you blame Coach Tate? I would say he needs time, assistants, and an easier out of region schedule to be succesful. Time he may or may not have Im not sure what the community thinks about him. Assistants, dont see that happening. Easier non region schedule? Thats only 3 games. Grundy will not drop Marion or Whitwell I wouldn't think because of the gate money....probably drop Watertown and pick up maybe a Bledsoe County? Tough road ahead, but I always thought the world of Grundy County people and wish the Jackets well.

Rumors Fly In 6A On Coaching Changes
PaPaLegba replied to TNBROADCASTER's topic in Class 5A & Class 6A
There was a Chris Estep who coached softball and swimming over there at TN High a few years ago. Pretty sure he didnt coach football. You may be thinking of Greg Estep who was the linebacker coach at Carson Newman and Austin East DC back in the day. Last I heard he was the HC at Tellico Plains but that was a while ago. Not sure if he had any ties to TN High. Those are the only Esteps Ive heard of. -
Very young, with no HC experience. But maybe thats what Riverdale needs. A fresh face and fresh start from a guy who is passionate and hard working. I understand why people would prefer a proven winner, but Ayedelott was a proven winner and was not very popular. If he has great relationships with the kids, and is organized, he is at a place where he can be succesful. I agree its not a hire anyone expected, but I wouldnt make any indictments until I saw the product he puts on the field. Just my two cents.

Riverdales Aydelott Resigns. New Era For Riverdale!
PaPaLegba replied to warrior82dad's topic in Class 5A & Class 6A
Maynord Clayton Crabtree Maybe go west for a Jeff Morris or Rodney Saulsberry. Not saying any of those guys are interested. they are all at elite programs and are having tremendous success, but if any of them are interested.... -
Here Here. You fired the Bryant's who made the playoffs every year in a Chattanooga Region, to winning 1 game, if you can even call beating Cannon County beating a high school team. More like 0-9. You ran off the Bryant's Grundy. You've made your bed now lay in it.

Very dangerous attitude to have. Bottom line is that coaching is a career. Williamson Co. outpays everyone so he left to make more money. I highly doubt it was cause "didnt wanna be here". Forrest will continue being a stepping stone for coaches until they open their pocketbooks. Seems to me that Kriesky handled everything as good as anyone. Most coaches just interview and leave if they get hired. He informed his AD every step of the way, which at the very least, shows he respected his administration and his school. The attitude of bye we'll just replace you, shows that the lack of loyalty is on your end, not the coaches.
