  1. I was trying to look at the article but I was not successful. I guess I don't have an account for the times free press. That's why!

  3. When the parking lot is 100 yards away from the gate entrance. When a bottle of water is $2.00. When they have an ad for Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, but they "sold out" halfway through the first quarter. When the P.A. talks crap to the visiting team coaches not knowing that their coaches are in the pressbox as well! When half of the scoreboard lights are blown out so you can't tell if it's a number 2, 5, or 8.
  4. Hey, I'm here! But no I'm the only one. I bet half of our fans know where the game will be play tomorrow.
  5. Yes, but they lost to great competition, however, I think they got outscored by 100 points I believe. It's around that.
  6. We're in the same boat, we played Liberty Tech and Murfreesboro Oakland as our non-region games, but this game could be avoided if we executed better. We are a senior heavy team with a D-1 recruit. We aren't young by any means.
  7. East will probably win this game, but this game will probably be closer than you think. We have athletes and speed, but I don't think we have what it takes this year to get things done. The good thing about us is that we were a few plays away from finishing 1st in region 7-4A, bad news is that we didn't execute those plays and it cost us big time. Average wise, we give up 21 points a game, but there's night where we give up 45-48 points and there's nights where we give up 7 points and a shoutout here and there. Don't know how we're going to handle things, I support these guys but I don't think we have what it takes. Our offense is wishy washy East 34 North Side 21
  8. No, you guys can show up, its just when you give up the fourth touchdown, go ahead and tell the kids bye and drive home.
  9. Just don't think TCA has enough, giving up a lot of points when they lose, I'm not surprised. TCA's defense gave up 34 PPG this year, Lewis County scored 32 PPG this year (regular season average). However, the good thing I can see this is that Lewis County scored 12 and 13 points when they lost (Scotts Hill and Waverly), so that should tell them something. Lewis County will be fine if they do what they do. Also, I see that Lewis County's defense has done a pretty darn good this year. Panthers 34 Lions 14
  10. Want to be relevant? You guys have to hit player development, and that starts at the middle school level. You private schools have the luxury of having a middle school team at your school, unlike the public schools in Jackson. You guys have a decent facility, I can tell y'all put money in it. Moving to D-2 will help, but still need to keep your players and develop them.
  11. Ever wonder what the TSSAA does with that money? I've wonder that a few times. But this won't even be a football game. Needless to say, Middleton beat B.T. Washington on Friday and BTW has to play at Dresden on Friday. This is bad when you're letting this awful teams in the playoffs, but you can't blame them, blame Memphis for closing down schools that just happened to be in the same region as Middleton/BTW.
  12. Battle of the Bands! Wouldn't mind going there! Don't know much about both teams so I won't do a prediction, but I hope safe travels for everyone!!
  13. Can you please do this for all classifications and not just 3A only? I like this idea...
  14. Saw a picture on Twitter where they do play at their high school. The only way I can tell is because it says Raleigh Egypt Stadium on their scoreboard. So I'm assuming..,
  15. Don't think it'll be that ugly. I think Bolivar is better than South Gibson, but I don't know for sure. This is the first playoff game at Bolivar this century, so it'll be an emotional game in a way for the players, fans, and the city of Bolivar. Milan will win this game, 42-20.
  16. Same thing for me. I knew they lost a good chunk offensively from last years team, but they had a good squad coming back. To see this team being the 4th seed is shocking to me.
  17. I agree Intense, Whittmore is one of the most underrated running backs in all of West Tennessee. He doesn't get any credit because JC is 4-6 and he got off to a slow start. He and Zaveion Johnson.
  18. Not surprised by the outcome! Not going to blame the weak non-region schedule, South Gibson fans hears it. Good luck to both teams on their playoffs as both teams will travel. For South Gibson, I'm just saying give Hardin County a call, give Camden a call, give Lexington a call, that's all. I just believe coaches across this state are "Buddy-Buddy" with one another and playing each other, when it's bad for one program. South Gibson players don't know what's coming. It's sad to see that this is happening. 7-3's/6-4's look good and all, but it's ruined by not winning a playoff game. I'm exhausted, goodnight.
  19. Funny! While we dealt with a 6A nationally rank team and a team that people claim "they're a 4A team, that's playing in a 3A class, but they are about 20 students short of becoming a 5A team, so really they're a 5A team" team.
  20. I'm going to take back what I said, you're right. Just a note on Flipper, while he had his tenure at Liberty, ePlus 6 TV station was never allowed to do games at Liberty. Why? I don't know, probably have to ask Flipper in court in the next few days! But while WNWS was allowed to do their games across Jackson (before them and USJ partner up), they were allowed to go to Liberty and call football games there. And that was before they started to steam their telecast online. I thought it was funny and curious to see that Liberty is hosting all of these all-star games for some reason. The football, basketball, and volleyball all-star games are at Liberty and I think it was started when Flipper was there (was Flipper the one that actually started it? I don't know for sure). The baseball and softball ones are just down the street (I can honestly careless, just thought about saying it). Mr. Rich, it seems like you have some ties to the media. If you somehow have the correct data that streaming games online does not ruin the gate, try to tell him and persuade him (which you probably have already). However, I will say from other Liberty people that I've talked to in the past, Flipper has a thing where Flipper wants to do only what Flipper wants to do! Milan is an amazing town to grow up in! You get to see their city for a while because of the ridiculous drop in the speed limit! As we all know, the citizens will always support their Bulldogs, hibernate in the winter, and support their baseball team! That's how things roll there! Thanks for your insight! By the way, just to clear up some things, I'm not by no means, a Milan supporter.
  21. I have a feeling if I ask a Milan football player tomorrow who's a bigger rivalry, Humboldt or South Gibson? Good chance that player will say South Gibson over Humboldt. I know the history this and that to specific rivalries, I get that. But you can't blame South Gibson for saying Milan is their biggest rivalry, it's the only team that's near Medina that's has been historically good. They aren't a rival with TCA or JCS, heck no. I believe the Milan/Humboldt rivalry is watered-down. If I ask a Lexington football player whose the "Big Red Tigers?" That player wouldn't know. Yes, the "Big Red Tigers" is famous for the dominance of Lexington back in the 80's/90's, but they aren't the "Big Red Tigers" anymore. Lexington is 2 plays away from no playoffs this year. Rivalries die like shopping malls!!!
  22. Good luck this week! Going 10-0 is not an easy task to accomplish, but it's something that's fun!
  23. I like Option 2 better. However, I can careless what region this or that team will go. Under the new playoff format, I just don't think it's fair if there's a East Tennessee Region that has 5 teams, and a West Tennessee Region that has 9 teams (vice versa). I know some teams will be happy, and I know some teams will be mad. That's all I'm worried about.
