South Greene will be better next year because they only had a handful of seniors this year and really only 2 played significant minutes. Their junior class is loaded and after next year they will be rebuilding big time. They have no backup QB to Myers and as much as he runs it they better find one or be careful because without him they are WAY down.

SG returns a ton , only really lose like 4 kids. Once their Junior class leaves they are going to take a MAJOR hit.

I would believe so. I know kids that transfer and have to sit out a year can still play in JV games so should be the same for them.

I definitely think they will be at the top once they get their legs under them. Meredith had 49 against TN High the other night and UH won. The next leading scorer had like 8. It is going to be Hampton, NG, UH for the title in my opinion. Hampton definitely has the toughest place to play. Hope the season can continue on without a whole lot of interruptions...The tssaa did vote that the highest seed will host the District and Regional Tournament, so that is something to keep an eye on as well.

Yes was able to watch them play against Grainger. The german kid is the brother of the really good german South Greene had a couple years ago (Schultz), he led them with about 20 points and there were 3 other seniors with 19, 17 and 17. NG will be tough to beat with all the senior experience, their best post player didn't play against Grainger due to an injury so that was even more impressive.

Heard people saying at the SG game that Rockwood was without 5-7 starters? Any truth to that ?

First projections had them in 5a based off that enrollment number. TSSAA said no and now will be in 6a region 1

Seen on twitter where Tom Kreager said their proposed enrollment of 1448 was rejected by the TSSAA today and that they would be 6a in football.

Any rumors on coaching? Have heard possibly Hilton or a DB legend .

Their best player is their QB. Without him they would not be very good offensively. He is dangerous and they love getting in empty and letting him run around and create plays. They will run a 3-4 on defense and love bring pressure from LB. Their corners are alright, can pick on them. They’re not huge upfront but typically play hard and fire off the ball well. Their two Rb are #24 and #20. They are hard nosed and good football players. Numbers 2 and 3 are their best receivers and 5 is their TE / WR they look to get the ball to.....they’re gonna go as far as their QB can take them.

I was impressed with #4’s arm strength and was wondering why they did not throw it more.
