I’m for it only because of the “two” team entry into the playoffs. But, the t$$aa will never go for that. It’s understandable to push back as far as we can but, the season needs to begin around the first of September. Going past the Winter break causes too many problems.

Ah, what about the perennial power paper champions of the regular season, Lewis County? We gotta have them ranked up high! At least till the second round any way.

What exactly did he do over there in Winchester? Coach kids too hard?

How many 2-8 teams advance to the second round, regardless of region record?

Funniest thing about LC is that if they win, as soon as and, I do mean at the exact same moment as that last whistle blows, they phone all the TV stations up here in Nashville and report the score. However, if they lose, nada! One will be lucky to even see it in the paper the next week.

What is the latest with the coaching situation there, with Mac?

MJ has done better this season than I thought they would. They might give Oakland a test but still, they are not what they were the past couple of years.

When was the last time EN beat PC?

I am interested in how this one is going to play out.

I say the top two teams in each region make the playoffs, just like the old days. Then, the winning record teams can play in bowl games. We all know that most likely a 5-5 team isn't going to win the state.

Calling it as I (we) all see it! It's not difficult to see what's going on with them. What stood out was all of the successful regular season records but the early playoff exits. They either play nobody's or teams that are down. Then, a few years ago I was told of the HC's relationship with a couple of the T$$AA members. I was even told the names. How can you have pride in that?

This is funny! Actually, it’s bad! They didn’t even make it to the second round this year. What was RS record? 5-5 or something? It will be another nine months before the (annual) regular season paper champions chatter on here. Was it just a couple of weeks ago they were all high and hyped about beating a downtrodden Loretto program?

And, that was when we were not very good! The misnomer was that LC could not compete against teams across the river over there. The actuality of their situation is that they can beat terrible teams, hence the usual first round win. But, any real competition and they lose!

They do not play anyone during the regular season. Sharpe’s T$$AA buddies always place LC in weak regions. Hence, regular season paper champions!

Seems Shelbyville is hot right now.

If (and this is not a very large if seeing how Riverside fared this year) LC is able to pull this one out tomorrow, they better enjoy the last win for the 2019 season. By now, we all know and are aware of what rd 2 always brings for LC! They didn’t even make regular season paper champions this year so I may give RS a better than normal chance.

I do have to admit, our schedule has not been as difficult as years past.

I remember when they were AAA and we were AA. They were a good program year in and out. I just think Fayetteville opening that new city school took too much away from them.

This year will be no different!

I think our loss to Lipscomb will actually benefit us down the road by keeping us in check. We’ve been building up to this year, this season, for a long time now.

Sounds like someone hasn't gotten football out of their system. Also sounds like that someone thought it would feel good going against high school kids when he is a former NFL caliper player.

Yes! And, this year was suppose to be a down year!
