  1. Transfers make a difference at this level as well my guy def if you get one at a spot in need. City's lack of having good QB play has been there weakest link past few years once you stop the student body right student body left you could play with them now they will be more of a swiss army knife. If Mckenzie can meet the pressure and live up to the expectations then they will run the table over your Tigers and your Tide. Long time until the postseason gotta love talking season.
  2. Mckenzie/City for the west and its gotta be South Pitt/Gordy out East Fayetteville with the transfer QB paired with the new OC and one of the best players in the state in Thomison(freakish) will be a hard out with fuel to the fire from coming up short last year. It comes back down to them and Mckenzie who has to be the fav going in with what they bring back. Can Gordy finally get by South Pitt?
  3. I think it hurts in football and basketball and being able to attest to this having a buddy being a mid major basketball coach he doesn't know if he would ever recruit a high school kid again unless they attend the prep schools, via transfer portal, or juco. Your hometown kid who is a star unless hes one of them freaks then they wont be getting that look now days. Now basketball is a different alley than football due to less spots on the roster. I think football is still on a similar track but these kids who play for their hometowns and are studs the trend will be for them to go to a mid level school have a heck of a year or two and then enter the portal and the power 5 schools and take them. Take the Jordan Addison kid for example had one heck of season at PItt had no big offers from power 5 schools besides them and now is the hottest name out there.
  4. How is he not fit for the gig? If its do to being the head girls coach I would say he would step down from that to get his dream job.He is a football guy he would be fully invested if he got it. He understands this generation of kids young coaches are on the rise across the nation.
  5. I'll second this. They will have to give him time to grow into the spot but those kids would play hard for him on a nightly basis
  6. 1A: Clay co. styles make fights and they have by far the best player in this class. 2A: East Nashville or Douglass 3A: TBD 4A: Think its wide open but its up in arms with Cane Ridge (Brandon Miller can carry them) , Beech, Columbia, Oak Ridge and or Bearden.
  7. Hiring their current DC according to espn reporter Adam Schefter. They bring back a lot of talent for next year
  8. It looked as if Whitehaven has a lot of size. What about North Side seem to have a good record does it add up tho?
  9. 4A Beech and Columbia and Cane Ridge dont let their record fool you.. Columbia is a fun team to watch in Mid Tennessee those kids can go.
  10. Yea it aint even close Strong is above everybody in 1A and would be a bigger house hold name if he played in a higher classification. Hard to believe that town has produced him and the Key kid couple years back.

    TSSAA

They do have supervisors that attend games. One problem for the lack of good officials is that TSSAA is one of the lowest paying far as states go for officials. Two the Barney Fifes and the GA's don't do their job in crowd control so you lose officials because they don't want to deal with the problems with fans that spill over after games and we live in a crazy world. A lot of fans dont know the game either and that can cause the heat to rise. Some parents just think their little Johnny doesn't do anything wrong when their out there and their child has a terrible attitude on the court. Now I agree with you that it is an embarrassment when attending games and seeing calls made that are trifling. The game has past most of these guys who are calling now or some that are calling never even played upward ball. I seen euro steps called walked, they put the wrong free throw shooter on the line, mishandling of rules, etc etc. The handling of subs is egregious not being at the X at said time when you might not know who the foul is on and the coach running a guy to the table to get play A out but cant is just bad. There is several whom because they have stripes and a whistle think they are above all and you cant tell them anything. Coaches ave gotten more techs in recent years than I can recall and these same officials belittle Asst. Coaches when they ask questions. Go across the state line to Alabama and the game is called totally different it has more of a college feel its fun to watch none of them tick tacky hand checks calls TSSAA could take notes from how they run things and several of their officials actually call at the next level. A change of pay and actual training will help change a lot of the problems that we are seeing.
  12. @Betsyorangefan I guess Tullahoma still ain’t physical huh? Enjoy that sliver ball my boy
  13. Nothing changes out west Mckenzie Fayetteville Peabody... Mckenzie and Fayetteville looks to return all their skill players but one or two. Fayetteville has had a big big lineman and I do mean this kid is huge..that moved in right before the season ended he we will be a big pickup for them.We know the east is a given. Will peabody still be in 1A? they are right on the line of returning to 2a
  14. TSSAA pretty much promotes recruiting starting at the end of the kids 8th grade year if you read it they basically say there that you are a free agent. They turn their heads as long as you have your i's dotted and T's crossed. Some of these coaches have just built strong relationships with kids from camps and other walks of life and if they are a dominate program the kids will show up at the door steps.
  15. so is 75 one them looks like Tarzan plays like Jane kids? He played last year vs City didn't I remember yall had one or two kids who were huge up front and the one had success throughout that night.
  16. I think Taylor is a better fit in the slot than at RB I felt watching that game vs City 26 was the better true RB. You put Taylor in the slot you cant load the box for one, two he can take the top off any coverage and hes out in space vs smaller guys which is a nightmare.
  17. Dont even waste your time trying to explaining this to this cat its to hard for them to understand.
  18. How many of your teams made it out the first round? i rest my case
  19. You dont win State Ships by mistake def a heck of a program no doubt. I was just comparing overall regions teams of who was stronger. It doesnt shock me them two schools not wanting to play def Alcoa they never seem to want to play a team that can beat them which really shocked me they played Maryville this year.
  20. Exactly. Both of those have proven their worth but the comp they see year in and out isnt great thats no knock to them because they don't control that but if they think Tullahoma isn't battle tested and cant play with them then they will be in for a long night.
  21. I never disqualified the fact of that but maybe your to incompetent to realize that a region is made up of more than 2 teams and that the state had a realignment and as of this year in what shape or form is region 1 better than region 5 overall?
  22. Outside of Greenville who from that region would beat Pearl Cohn ,Montgomery Cent, or Marshall co?
  23. The Davis kid is legit thats facts but you can scheme around him. South Pitts LB's, and Dbs better come ready and stay sound
  24. First off Tullahoma is not my team im just giving them the upset bid since ive seen them play and they are from middle TN. Tullahoma is going to be just as or if not more physical than Greenville so not sure how that will result in losing by 3 scores when that game down to 1 score but carry on. Greenville was talented no doubt but everyone on here knows they was not the best team the entire state they would not beat Alcoa, Oakland, Summit, Maryville,Powell, more can me mentioned if need be. Dont compare stats you can get in trouble doing that. Tullahoma prolly plays in the hardest region in the state that plays into factor.
