If ever there is a line of scrimmage game this is it. Neither team scares you throwing it. Beech doesn’t do anything tricky, they run Courtney mostly between the tackles and run #1 on the jet sweep. Their offensive line is executing at a very high level. Commandos have to be better on the offensive and defensive lines than they have in the previous 2 games. Looking forward to Friday night.

After spotting the Spartans an early 10-0 lead the Commandos rally for a 28-22 win behind the play of QB Mason Baker and RB Stevin Mack. Good win for the boys, not perfect but I will take it.

Good for him, on a good team for his skill set. They rotate backs a lot and they run it more than most teams. Big day for him is Aug 30th, teams cut down from 80 to 53.

Just to be honest Wilco has been better for at least the past 10 years especially in 6A. You look at the number of big time D1 recruits on a yearly basis. Ravenwood had a LB, safety and a WR sign with power 5 teams and this year they have Parson going to MSU, Summitt had the Wade twins and Pearce all go to Kentucky, Merrill from Brentwood went to UT. Since Hurd and Malone Sumner has only had 1 only power 5 signee since with Jordan Mason going to GA Tech until this year with Wharton from Hville going to Vandy.

Week 2 of the gauntlet against the defending 5A state champions in Ky South Warren defeated Highlands last night 49-14 at the University of Louisville’s stadium. Their soph QB threw for 190 yds and their defense scored 3 times. They play a similar offense that Ravenwood plays, spread you out and can run and pass. Commandos have to play a lot better than they did against Oakland, can’t turn it over 4 times, can’t have the penalties that plagued the offense. Need to be a lot more physical at the line of scrimmage. Next week it’s Beech, then Gallatin, then Ravenwood. Confident that we will have a good week of practice and be ready to go Friday night.

Hville plays White House in the Macon County jamboree at 7:30 Friday night

28-7 Blackman, they are really good especially on offense. When have a D1 TE and 3 D1 WR it is hard to stop. Couple that with 2 good QB’s . Our inexperience on defense showed up tonight. We match up better with a physical smash mouth team like MJ. We have a long way to go but I have confidence in our coaching staff. Beasley has won 3 straight region titles so he knows what he is doing.

By the way I went in the mens room before the scrimmage and it was awful.

Dirty hits? Foul language? That’s BS and you know it is. How many unsportsmanlike penalties did u get? Our QB got laid out 3 or 4 times after throwing a pass when the rules said you touched them down in the pocket. I respect your program, I don’t respect you for your comments. Ankle high grass around the field, the worst mens room I have ever been in. Blackman has a very good team and they played very well.
