Last night I posted what I thought about the tournament. It was deleted before morning. There was no crowd control and there hasnt been since they started at MTSU. It seems that all they are worried about is collecting that money. Ronnie Carter was worned before the game that the seatin would not work with the Bolivar fans sitting with the Trenton fans. during the Trenton/Middleton game. The Bolivar fans came in early and took the seats that Trenton was to be in. They cheered for Middleton and that is OK. Wha twe didnt noit like is that they baooed Trenton. and the way theuy acted, theyhad no business in the seats yet. That is what caused the fight in the stands. A bolivar boy hit a Trenton woman in the face and her husband did what I orany other husband would have done. He went after him. But she was to nice to press charges. The big problem is that the event staff should make the people of the next game wait to get their seats after the others leave. They are all on top of you before you can get out of your seat. With crowds that llarge there should be much more control. Ronnie Carter knew of the potential problem but did nothing to prevent it. Congrats to Middleton for a well played game and to Coach Larry for a great job. also congrats to Doaks for bringing home MR. Basketball. Hey 2nd in the state is still great.

Anything short of clearing the gym between games has its problems. You just decide which is the least problem and is the safest for the fans. I can imagine them holding an excited cheering section numbering 500-1000 back until the previous game's fans have vacated the area. All I can picture are broken legs and worse when you turn them loose to rush for the front row. Headers off the bleachers might even be common.

More seriously, I have seen it tried numerous ways over the years and there isn't a good answer. First of all, just trying to tell a fan where he can or can not sit creates immediate problems. Secondly, all of the seats at Murphy Center with the exception of the blue & white ones on the south side are going to be replaced before next season and two jumbotrons/scoreboards added, too. This may result in a different was of seating fans next year, anyway.

Middleton took Lake Co. seats before we got there. I guess it's a Hardeman Co. thing.

Rebecca to be very honest with you I am sick and tired of your whining about Middleton. NOBODY took your seats. I checked the TSSAA regulations and we had to only have capacity for 1000 which we had. Quit your belly aching about having so few fans when 500 of your fans could have purchased tickets at your school until midday the day of the sectional.

Also, anyone has the right to sit in any available seat at any of the sites of play. So, get over it.

Also, as I was at the door let me assure you that unless your fans got to Middleton after the tipoff of the game they had seats available. I know that MANY of our fans did not arrive until near the end of the first quarter or even after.

If your school cared at all about you getting seats and supporting the team they would have allowed you to check out early just like our school does. Our students and the students at our feeder schools even got out for "field trip" day the days we played in state ... Bolivar students and their feeder schools did the same thing.

Put the "blame" where it belongs -- Lake County and its fans. And, quit your belly aching.

I wish you would give it a rest......We have heard you gripe and complain about seating for the last two weeks. The game has been over and the results are still the same....Instead of blaming Hardeman Co, specifically Middleton, blame your fellow Lake Co officials that only sold 191 tix. By only selling the amount aforementioned, that left the gates wide open for MHS fans to get their tix and seats as well.

You are a sore loser and can't leave well enough alone. If the tables had been turned, I am almost definite that MHS fans would have been put in the same situation if we would have made the trip to Tiptonville. Your team had a good season and have much to look forward to next season as well. Your retarded comments are very distracting and you should be focusing on things of the sort rather than petty seating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Becky, you need to grow up. You say you are a good sport, I don't see that what I see is a sore loser. Middleton didn't take anyones set you gave them away by losing. You need to forget about that game and get on with your life. there is more to life than basketball.

If you don't wanna pay for parking, do what I do. Park in student parking, but make sure you pay the fine before you register for classes @ MTSU. But you say, "I won't register for classes at MTSU, becuase I don't go there. What should I do?" Like I said before, make sure you pay that fine before registering for classes!!

Lake County schools did let out one hour early for fans to make the drive to Middleton but a lot of people don't work at the school and had leave whenever they could. I just don't want people thinking Lake County does not care about their teams because we do. At the time of this game, it was a possibilty of school closing due to the flu, so there would go some of our days. Also we are building a new elementary and junior high, so days are being saved because due to construction we will have to close for that. I don't know about the seating and I don't actually care. What I do know is Lake County does care about their teams (all of them not just basketball.) It is time to move on. Congrats to Middleton and Peabody for a great season.
