No DB and SH are not a good match, close, but not even by any means........ The real problem with DB is they dont have the heart that SH does and it showed in the past week........Talent goes to DB, Heart goes to SH.......and that is all there is to it.......Dobyns- Bennett can undoubtabley be compared to the New York Yankees, they have all the money, all the player, but they are all out for one thing...THEMSELVES.....Get some heart boys, its a team effort......

And who are you to tell us who has heart and who doesn't? It looked to me in that last game that D-B did had heart and the desire to win, almost comming back. You might wanna not try and be Dr. Phil. You also might not have seen the indians in the first championship game when it was tied at 2-2 and their left fielder hosed that ball home to get out the go ahead run, and just went absolutely crazy. Was you there? did you see the heart they had? Did you Dr. Phil?

I sure as heck think both teams have desire and determination

can we get off of bashing one anothers sports programs for a while and talk about the regional games coming up for both teams on monday all i keep hearing about jeff co is the guy who signed with ut...how good is he? anybody got any stats on him or other players?

science hill as well gets to host mo east but i dont think that they will have a problem at all the team speed of science hill and timely hitting and solid pitching will be too much to overcome for east

how much fun would it be to have one more game at cardinal park on wednesday to see who gets a home game and who goes down to knoxville for a sectional game.

Thank you 'donkeylips', finally someone trying to restore the conversation here. It was also nice to hear someone say "little redneck town" and "Kingsport" in the same sentence, thank you for that 'bud'.

Let's see who wins these Regional games so we can move onto Sectionals. And in case you didn't know, there is life after high school...right now it might seem like the most important thing in the world, but there's more to follow in our lives. But right now for those of you that are in high school and playing sports, go ahead and make the most of it, because I miss it. I have no comment on whether the different schools have heart or if they are playing "me ball", because honestly that is something that only the players would know. Sometimes individuals have the heart when their teammates don't, but when it all boils down to is who gets the job done and who goes home for the summer.

Thanks bud, but what do i have to be jealous about? Nothing actually. And im not trying to bash anyone, I am a huge DB fan. Anyway back to the question about Jeff. Co. i have heard he has hit 94 consecutivley, but is a wild- buck when it comes to consistency and I havent found out his name yet but i am working on it.....

    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
    • They do have good community support for sure and did when I coached under Z for 4 years. (I was on that staff that turned them around a little from winning 1 game a year to actually being competitive).  Great Kids and Great Community over there.  They have done some good things with the facilities from when i coached too.
    • I personally will not mind that one bit.  It seems like a really strange fit to me from the git go.
