Giles Co. 10 Fairview 9 in 8 innings. Giles was down 9 to 4 going to bottom of 7th came back and tied it and won in the 8th inning!!

WHAT A GAME! It doesn't get much better for Giles County (or more heartbreaking for Fairview - hats off you guys played one heck of a baseball game). This game had it all, lead changes, home runs, even a suicide squeeze!

 

10-9. If GCHS has any gas, any gas at all they have to be the favorite tomorrow night. They may pitch scrubs to save up for regions next week, or they may come out and just beat the brakes off of Loretto. Who knows? It's going to be a great week of baseball next week in Giles County and I can't wait!

Yea i believe this one is done over, its giles co. (who has NO PITCHING left) against loretto who is on a 6-0 winning record and who has some really good rested pitchers, NO WAY Giles can beat us, theres not gonna be any second game here. Well come put them away and be ready to play the regionals again at our place.

Yea, I'll be there, loretto_deuce. How could I not miss the championship? I guess my old truck has one more trip to Loretto left in it. While Loretto has had a day off today and appears to be the favorite, Giles will be playing with a lot of emotion after two close wins. The question will be pitching for both teams. Have both Loretto's Lamm and Giles' Petty rested enough? Who will pitch for both if there is a game 2? It's the final chapter of the district tournament and I wouldn't miss it.

lhsbaseball I would be careful making promises like that. I was at the Fairview/ Giles County game tonight and I thought it was over and we were up by 5 and Giles still found a way to win it. Now we did give them the game no doubt, but for you to say it is already over and you haven't even started playing yet???? You may be biting them words tomorrow. Maybe not, but I wouldn't be so confident and counting Giles out!!!!!
