I think Boyd-Buchanan will be tough to beat.  They return everyone...they have no seniors.  They have been state runner-up the last 3 years.  They also beat Walker Valley this year who was the AA runner-up.

That is correct....but don't forget that Boyd also beat the AAA state champs Red Bank throwing a no hitter against them.....beat Walker Valley twice.....in regular season tournaments beat Creek Wood......beat Division II state champs Baylor 2-1 in the Soddy tournament. No predictions....just suffice it to say next year will be interesting.

Boyd lost to Baylor 2-1 in the SD tournament and were waxed 9-3 late in the season by Baylor. So Boyd did not beat Baylor this year or last. Don't forget that Goodpasture will be in the same division too. When has Boyd ever beat them? They just reload and have Boyd's number. I do hope Boyd can overcome them.

Schoolsportsradio.com will be visiting different areas throughout the summer to help everyone keep up with all the current sports news related to high school sports. If you can't attend the show be sure to listen or send your comments to "ssrradio on AIM (aol instant messenger). Showtime starts 7:00pm and the show host will be Greg Bradley.

Greg has broadcast sports for over twenty years in radio so this will be a great show!

The Lady Tigers will be the focus, but other subjects will be discussed, so be sure to IM us during the show.

Thanks

Glad you're coming & look forward to your broadcast.

This is really good for high school sports.

One thing you might not have known...girls

basketball camp is going on next week at

Marshall Co. High with several good teams

coming, including two of last year's state

champs.

Just one little point of clarification for you

though. We are the Tigerettes NOT the Lady

Tigers. Hearing Lady Tigers gets us just a

little nauseated.

The AA finals could be BBS and Goodpasture.

Your counting out some other good teams.... Might want to go over it again....

let them be surprised by who is still standing when the post season begins next year. being overlooked and counted out only gives certain teams something to play for, something to prove...and my, how they love to prove the coacht posters wrong. there's nothing better than making all the geniuses eat their words.

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
