Austin Peay football players are to report on Friday.  Have any OVC schools started yet?  Just wondering.

Yes they have thumb

Austin Peay will not compete in the OVC, in football anyway, in 2005. That does not start until next fall.

I was planning to go to Thurs am practice but I have a dentist appt.

I can't make the afternoon practice because I am at our practice.

They can't do to-a-day practice two days in a row. (League rule) Maybe I can catch them Mon or Tues. From reading the Leaf Chronicle, Coach is impressed with several freshmen. I hope he is still that optimistic after they butt heads a few days.

Hey nolesfan,  Will Mark Cunningham get any playing time this year.  That kid was sure good in High School.  I've heard he is up to 6 feet 4 and 210 lbs..  I enjoyed watching him in High School.  If he gets to play this year, a bunch of us are coming down from Knoxville to watch.  Let us know how his is doing.

Need somewhere to stay while you are in Clarksville :):) I'm just messing with you.

Hey nolesfan I do not plan on going to the scrimmage. I picked up a copy of Street & Smith's college football preview magazine and saw that APSU was predicted 2nd in the conference behind Morehead State. It could be for the right to play in the PFL Championship when we travel up there on October 15th.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the update. Would appreciate any information on how scrimmages are going. I've heard they are young and need to build a defense. I hope Cunningham gets a chance to play this year. I think he could be a difference maker in a lot of games they lost last year. As you guys will find out he is a game day player. Smart, and makes good decisions under fire. Good luck this year.

    • So much talk about an investigation about student record manipulation and then everything has went silent. Has anyone heard how the investigation is going?
    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
    • I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
