OMG I cant believe noone named the 3rd greatest football movie of all time

1) Friday Night Lights

2) Remember The Titans

I completely forgot about Long Gone ... Great baseball movie (by the way, Teller speaks!!!)

 

I also like The Junction Boys, but I wasn't too impressed with the Southern accents of those Aussie actors.

 

And, just for fun, how 'bout this one: Fast Break .... Bernard King and Mr. Kotter.

 

Finally, does Dodgeball count? Because that movie's funny right there. I don't care who you are!

OK, I'll add my $0.02 worth in this great topic. Here is my baker's dozen.

 

1. Bull Durham (has some of the best movie quotes ever, Meat.)

2. Remember the Titans (Ain't no mountain high, ain't no valley low.....)

3. Miracle (brings back a lot of memories, I was 13 when they won the gold.)

4. Brian's Song (the origninal and tell me, who did not cry at the end).

5. Long Gone (Stud Cantrell, Joe Louis Brown, Jamie Don Weeks)

6. 61* (The movie was actually shot at the old Tiger Stadium in Detroit.)

7. The Pistol (Can't forget Pistol Pete).

8. The Sandlot (I wish I'd had the guts to kiss the lifeguard like Squints did).

9. Hoosiers (3, 2, 1, ......, in-and-out.)

10. Slapshot (Let's play some old time hockey!)

11. Major League (The first one was the best!)

12. Field of Dreams (Build it and he will come.)

13. Something for Joey (The story of Penn State Heisman Trophy winner John Cappiletti and his brother's fight with luekemia. Who did not cry when they heard Cappy's speech when he won the Heisman?)

14.  Legend of Bagger Vance

Honorable mention: Cutting Edge, Vision Quest, Caddyshack, The Natural, The Juction Boys, Rudy, and Victory.
