WizardofKtown
are u guys selling spencer gulmire short? as far as im concerned he is the best running back in not just East Tennessee, but in the entire state. I dont know if i would go as far as saying the best in the state. Don't get me wrong, spencer is very talented, but he has proven that when he takes a hit, he can have a hard time holding on to the ball. I know in the Db game he coughed it up about 3 times, and a couple of those fumbles were in very crucial situations. Now, after the DB - Tn High game, i thik it is obvious that DB has the best GROUP of RB's because Db has the most dominating O-Line. Maryville has two RB that will hit you in the mouth and keep running, and Alcoa is no different, but i believe that you have to consider the O-Lines, and DB has the best. Db's "DOMINANT" OFFENSIVE line couldnt control the line of scrimmage against Oak Ridge's small but fast "Dark Side" defense
oldsc7
Dustin "Duck" Lindsey - Alcoa Yes i agree and I saw the Alcoa-Hoptown game on TV and the Shiverdecker kid is a beast also.
piledriver22
i think Wesley Smith from Scott High is one of the best...how many yards does he have now?... i know he is over 600 yards
krichunaka
that's also 2A north east tn football, not the best competition in the world And though Khemikal effectively responded to this earlier, it's only fair to point out a few things in favor of Townsend. First, and most significantly, when J C Campbell, now entering his hundred-and-thirtieth season at Hampton, says that a Runningback is "something special," then, by gosh, that Runningback is something special. Secondly, this kid has how many carries? Thirty-something? Do the math; this guy can carry the mail, no matter where he's delivering. He could easily have over a thousand by now. What about him, pujo? Pretty good?
pujo
Townson is extremely quick .got some pretty good speed . He's so small, hard to get ahold of. Strong as a little bear.Prime example of hard work. Best back I've seen this season.
hamptonbigdogs
ADAM A.K.A. (OJ) TOWNSEND HAS 682 YARDS ON 41 ATT AND 9 TD,S , BUT HE WILL TELL YOU IN A HEART BEAT THAT IF IT WAS NOT FOR HIS BIG LINE AND BIG BACKS HE WOULD NOT HAVE 3/4 OF THOSE YARDS AND YES, PUJO I THINK HIS SIZE HAS ALOT TO DO WITH IT HE IS SO SMALL HE IS HARD TO SEE AND TO GRAB A HOLD OF AND ALSO JOHN POTTER A.K.A. (TRACTOR AND TRAILOR) HAS 301 YARDS ON 33 ATT AND 5 TDS FOR A 9.1 AVG

hamptonbigdogs
I DO AGREE (EASTNGURU) THE TEAMS THAT THEY HAVE PLAYED IS WEAK , BUT I THINK THEY R DOING VERY WELL COMPARED TO OTHER TEAMS AND THERE RUSHING STATS! THE TEAMS HAMPTON HAS PLAYED IN THE LAST YEAR AND A HALF ARE ALCOA WON STATE WHEN THEY PLAYED (CLOUDLAND) THEY WAS RANKED 6TH IN STATE (SOUTH GREENE) 10TH IN STATE (HAPPY VALLEY) 12 IN STATE KNOX- CATHOLIC #1 IN STATE THEY HAVE PLAYED (JOHNSON COUNTY) WHICH BEAT (HAPPY VALLEY)ALSO UNAKA WAS RANKED 10TH IN THE STATE AND I SAY BY THE TIME THEY PLAY CLOUDLAND AGAIN THEY WILL BE RANKED 3RD IN THE STATE AND ALSO ALCOA WOULD STOMP A MUD HOLE IN DB AND WHEN HAMPTON PLAYED ALCOA THE JOHN POTTER KID HAD OVER A 100 YARDS RUSHING I WOULD SAY WE HAVE PLAYED SOME GOOD TEAMS AND WE ALL KNOW YOU HAVE TO PLAY GOOD TEAMS TO WIN! alcoasportsguy22
Ok then Maryville probaly has the best trio with Tallent Baker and Singleton but alcoa also can add Love into that mix Yeah, I dont know about Love. Now that James Stultz is starting at FB Logan is mainly a specialist on D at SS. Now he doesn't have to play both ways, but he still comes in every now and then at FB. I think that Darrel Tate would be a better 3rd than Love because of his speed and quickness.
#1 Hampton Bulldog Fan
The Townsend kid is the real deal ya'll.......oh and by the way he is only a jr. and yes if the coach would have keep his starters in the last four games then Adam would have had 1000+, people out there do not understand is that the weak teams that Hampton has played, the starters of Hampton were out by the second Qrt. so now you are looking at 682 yards and 9 tds in ....lets see 2 qtrs. for each game 10 qrts. all i'm trying to say is watch out For them Dogs thier BAAAAACccCCKKKKKK!!!!!! OR632003
i still think that u guys are seeling him short. he is the best rb in the state in my mind and he proves it everytime he steps on the field. he was the best running back in the clinton game, the bradley central game,BETTER THAN DB'S GROUP OF RB'S during the db game, best in the heritage and jeff county games
