Not high school nor Tennessee, but there is a wide receiver for Univ. of Alabama named Jimmy Johns, which also happens to be one of my favorite sandwich places.

 

Also, a fellow from USJ named Nick Latimer frequently had has name mispronounced over the PA as "Lick Natimer." Laughs all around.

Okay I know this is a name thread and a TN one at that, but I ran across the name of a HS football team in Texas that I thought was rather humorous and I had to share:

 

The Farmington Fightin' Farmers

 

No joke.....

 

there are other teams called the Goats, the Buckaroos,The Mules, and the Jackrabbits.

 

You would expect "Fightin' Farmers" from a state that provided us with the "Horned Frogs". LOL
