I'll pick the Riverdogs in an upset 28-21. (A surprize to everyone except Riverside.) I just think the Panthers want more this year than a playoff berth. They want a home playoff game and the region championship if possible. This will be that game of the week in Region 6 2A.

I look for Riverside to take this one although the defense will have to step it up and contain Hatton to keep Riverside's home play-off hopes alive. Lewis co has not successfully defended another rushing attack this season like Riverside will bring and this will be a true test for Lewis co and Riverside for how they will measure up for the weeks 9& 10 showdowns when they face Boyd& co . Good Luck Riverside and keep the playoffs at home on this side of the river!

this is a very good matchup this week in the sweet region of 6-2A Riverside travels to Lewis County looking for a big win. I believe with Riverside's rushing attack they can walk away with this one, as said they must contain hatton. this should be a great game, I will be watching this one Friday night! Go Riverside

I am going to going to pick Lewis Co. by a touchdown. It seems the past two weeks that most everyone is saying that Adamsville, and Waverly were the perfect team to upset the Panthers. Each week it seems that Lewis Co. is gonna be upset and each week they come away with the victory. People always say that if you stop Hatton than you stop Lewis Co. This just helps Greve, King, and Colley now as everyone keys in on Hatton. Expect some big plays this week and remember that everyone is saying that Lewis has a weak defense but it is the 1 rated in the region...

This should be a good game because both of the teams futures are on the line. The team with better coaching and leadership will win this one whoever that may be.

GO PANTEHRS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good point Wisdon.

I think the key to winning this matchup will be playing mistake free football.

Look at the 6 turnovers Waverly had last night. Had that not happened, the score may have been a little different, and Hatton probably would not have gotten the mega yardage he had.

Good luck to both teams (especially Riverside, Go Panthers!). This will be a real good football game to watch (or listen to in my case).

    • Who’s going to lead the pirates offense this year?
    • Pickett is good, may have a Mr. Football like season if he’s used correctly. One of the best teams Marion has fielded in a while. I think they go 12-1 and loose to ER.  ER has better players at almost every position. If they play discipline this year, they win soundly. If they don’t though…Marion could sneak away with it.
    • I’m betting the house on the Indians. Pickett and Co will be the only team to challenge the Indians in the East. Huntingdon can in the West. I think Brooks goes 15-0 and has the first perfect season and state championship in ER history.
    • Sounds like a great opportunity has opened up for the football team.  With the head coach of the diamond rebels making it official and quitting this week, there should be some room for the gridiron guys to benefit. I assume the administration won’t continue paying six figures to two former coach that quit to continue teaching drivers Ed. Thats pretty good money that could be redirected toward the football program. Also, with the more recent policies of pushing kids to only play one sport, abolishing the baseball program altogether would help on Friday nights in the fall. There is some decent speed on that baseball team that should’ve been playing on Fridays IMO. I’m not sure if anybody would really miss that baseball program anyway with it being across town from the school. The liability of letting players actually use the facilities could also be mitigated with closing the program. That liability seems to be a really big issue for 825. Anyway, it seems like a great opportunity is available.
    • Yeah, I read about their spring blue/gray scrimmage after I typed that.   Sounds like a real mess over there.  I just hate that for 'em.  Haw
